I'm sorry but I just can't help it....I feel like Elenaria took my idea for Kelpies.....
On December 3rd I posted about starting an Equine adoptable that was part aquatic and on the 4th I mentioned naming them Kelpies.....now today on the 6th Elenaria posts their new "Kelpie" lineart?
I'm pretty sure the Elenaria came up with Kelpies back when they announced it last month or even earlier, so I doubt they stole your idea.
ETA: They announced it during a join.me session.
Where did they announce it? If so, then okay I'm wrong, but I don't remember seeing a post about them.
Here is the thread where Crystal announced that the next breed was going to be Kelpies back at the beginning of November. There were also several times in join.mes when the upcoming breeds were talked about.

Okay I found where they mentioned in October doing an underwater breed...but no mention of the name "Kelpie".
Well, I'm really discouraged now.....so.....back to my little corner of the world.
I know in the thread that I linked to Crystal did use the name Kelpies. I don't know if that makes it any better. I know it can be really discouraging when you find out that someone has a similar idea as you, but don't give up hope. Just because the name is already being used doesn't mean you can't use the artwork that you have worked on, or you could always see if someone else needs help running an adoptable that is already out there. I know I can't color at all right now for my adopties since my touch screen computer broke. *hugs*
