Okibi S-genes

Originally intended as a mock breed of pony for the online game PonyIsland, the Okibi have always had templated markings to match any markings you can find on PI. As time passes and fewer people on Secundi play PI, that connection the Okibi had with their past is less important. Still, I will continue to template any markings from PI to offer for the Okibi to have.

Link to PI S-genes: https://ponyisland.net/#!/?src=community&sub=forums&topic=3133842

The Okibi s-gene system has been simplified from PI in a few ways:
1.) There is no limited slots for body/hair/face/leg markings. There can be more than one marking in each position. They can layer over each other in different ways, though for example Socks won't show if they are underneath Stockings.
2.) There is no Colorization gene needed. Any marking can be any color.
3.) There is no dominance or recessive when it comes to genes.
4.) There's no s-genes reserved for specific breeds.
5.) Okibi will no longer be carriers of s-genes. They will either have it (which means it will be visible) or they won't. But for older Okibi who already have carried s-genes (which you can see in their Agency Info) if they are bred, carried genes will still count.

From this point forward, when breeding, any S-genes have a 50/50 chance of passing to offspring. There is no carrying s-genes. An Okibi shows the gene if they have it.

If both mother and father show the same s-gene, this is not a 100% guarantee that the offspring will get it. It will still be a 50/50 chance, but that 50/50 chance will apply twice: once for the mom passing on the gene and once for the dad. So it's twice as likely for the offspring to get the gene if both parents have it.

Unique Markings

Unique Markings are any sort of markings on an Okibi that are not templated s-genes. This includes animal mimics. They are not that rare, and can be won in most events. They can be requested in customs unless the custom is specifically listed as a simple custom/s-gene only custom. Unique Markings always pass to offspring in some way, though they usually get smaller with each gen. (An Okibi with bright flaming stockings might have a baby with only flaming socks, and the baby in the gen after that might have just one flaming sock, etc.)

Breeds

Okibi have three different primary breeds: Normal, Mountain, and Fennec Fae. For examples, please see the Breeds page here: http://www.secundi.net/agencybreeds.php?ID=11

The Normal and Fennec Fae breeds have gender-different lineart, with a pose for males and a pose for females. The Mountain breeds have only one lineart, regardless of gender.

There is also an Elder Stage. This is not a separate breed of Okibi, rather it is a stage any breed of Okibi can reach when being exposed to the contents of an Ancient Box, a very rare item. The general rule of Elders is that 1 is released for every 100 Okibi, usually when the ID number reaches a new milestone (like ID #1200 or #1300).

Mutations

There are two separate types of mutations for Okibi, which can be confusing, but hopefully the following explanation will help!

Normal Mutations:

Normal mutations are the types of mutations most adoptables have. You can order these mutations when you order customs or semi-customs, or they can appear in any combination in premades. There is no limitation to mutations except that an Okibi can't have two types of wings at the same time. Fennec Faes, which already have their own wings, can't have any mutations with wings.

Normal mutations, like s-genes, pass with a 50/50 chance to offspring. (If one parent has Peg Wings and one parent has Faery Wings and they both pass, the Faery Wings will be visible rather than the Peg Wings.)

List of Normal Mutations:
-Drac Horns (slim, curved horns on the forehead)
-Faery Wings (gauzy transparent wings - not available in Fennecs)
-Feline (cat eyes and whiskers)
-Glow (a colored glow of light around the Okibi)
-Peg Wings (feathered wings - not available in Fennecs)
-Uni Horn (small unicorn horn on forehead)

Bred Mutations:

Bred Mutations are something unique to the Okibi adoptable, in that you can only get these mutations through specific breeding combinations. These mutations are not available in customs and will only be found in premades in certain rare instances.

Bred Mutations List and Requirements:
-Antenna : breed a Mountain and a Fennec together
-Caterpillar : breed an Okibi with Antenna mutation to an Okibi with Tiny mutation
-Drac Wings : breed an Okibi with Flame Feathers to an Okibi with Saberteeth
-Flame Feathers : breeding an Elder Okibi to any other Okibi
-Mono : an offspring Okibi with all three breeds in its pedigree
-Saberteeth : an offspring has a common parent or grandparent (inbred, though Okibi reproduce with magical foxfires so inbreeding isn't an issue)
-Tiny : breed a Normal and a Fennec together

A new item, called a White Foxfire, can be used if you want to breed an offspring and you don't like a certain Bred Mutation that will result (especially some of them, like Caterpillar and Mono, might look weird!).
