You find yourself in a grand temple in the mountains, stone masonry arching overhead in grand displays of architectural prowess. The temple is molded and carved by dwarven hands, twisted into shape from folk as sturdy as the stone itself. It is magic however, that keeps the granite floors clean, and the expansive rooms warm despite the presence of any fire. Images of Farallon decorate the walls in bas relief, their shallow carvings seeming to be made by hand instead of a hard chisel and hammer. Whether it is a testament to dwarven skill or if the people possess magic to mold it is of great debate in the academic community and a highly guarded secret of the dwarves.

It is obvious what this place is dedicated to, however. Three statues, larger than even real life Farallon, stand on a pedestal. One is obviously male, sitting on the left hand side. The right, a female. Both dragons clasp huge mirrors in their paws, enough for even large sized people and animals to be able to view their entire body. Finally, between the male and female pair stands a statue of an androgynous Farallon figure, its claws opened in a gentle basket as if it were reaching out to hand you something. However, its claws are empty. If you know anything of Farallon, you know that this is a Nymph, a rare creature that allows two males, or two female Farallon to create offspring with the Nymph as a vessel to carry them.

This trinity is often a symbol of birth, life, and fertility in Dwarven culture. Is this what the Farallon temple is specific to? A deep thrumming sound starts up, and you feel the words more than you actually hear them.

"Farallon you see, Farallon it shall be. Two is needed, two that are lost to time. They will look into the mirror, and an egg shall be thine."

A  little cryptic, perhaps, but for some reason you understand just what it means. There are creatures of Secundi that have become lost to time, no longer able to breed on their own as they slowly drift into eventual extinction. Perhaps they may pass something on into a new life in the form of a Farallon drakling?

Welcome to the Magic Mirror Event!!

Have any creatures from and adoptable that went active? Never fear! Though I will not be making exact copies or mimics in this event, your beloved creatures can pass on a little bit of themselves into a new beginning as a Farallon! You can use two different creatures and have each of them look into a mirror. Gender doesn't matter. They will see their 'Farallon' selves within the mirror and create a Farallon child together!

Rules:
- Though I don't believe this breaks any rules, I still would like to keep this to creatures from inactive groups. I'd prefer them to be at LEAST six months inactive with a preference for a year or over.
-It cannot be an Agency species. Amended! But they still need to be inactive, or you need permission
-If the creature is from an active species, you will need to get PERMISSION from the species owner to use them! It only seems fair.
-The species needs to have a thread on secundi.
-If you use someone else's inactive creature, you will need to get permission from them and present it to me.
- If you only have one inactive creature, I can use a randomly generated mate for them.
-You can only apply ONCE. If you collaborate with someone and use each other's creatures as a breeding pair, two eggs will be rolled so you each will get one.

Find a mate for your creature here if you'd like! Or you can use a default mate that I will provide. :)

Links to any permissions given to you:

------------------
YLO:

Chestnut with Stripes, Mantle and Irish White
Tundra Type, Pebble Scales
The mantle gene has acted oddly and given him a mismark on his tail.
---

Rosewood

Faded Black Pinto with Wild Points
Common Type, Pebble Scales
His claws are naturally a pink color. You can tell the different from where the pinto gene drains the color from the claws and scales versus the true color pink.
---

Aralie

Chroma Chestnut with Appaloosa and Listra
Common Type, Pebble Scales
Her parents were black and brown, which have a chance of producing chestnut. On top of that, the chestnut base coat is affected by chroma which makes it a brilliant orange. The 'Listra' markings takes advantage of the alternate chroma color for Chestnut, yellow.
---

Country

Chroma Black with Starbites
Common Type, Pebble scales. MUTATION: Forehorn
This breeding inspired a new marking, Starbites/Starbitten!
---

Kahlira

Chroma with Points
Common Type, Pebble Scales
Dominant chroma which means 100% of his babies will have chroma. Also, the standard 'points' are different from wild ones in that they are actually able to be a different color from the base coat. Being dominant chroma also allows this on wild points, but in this situation he also inherited the more uncommon point type
---

Riverwind

Chestnut with Merle and Unders
Tundra Type, Pebble Scales
The 'wild dog' markings of its parent translated to merle in Farallon genetics!
---

D.eirdre

Bleached Chestnut with Chroma Spots
Desert Type, Pebble Scales
The bleached gene has made him quite pale, almost white. The only way you know he carries the chroma gene is from the orange spots on his body.
---

Saturnalia

Chroma Brown with Merle
Desert Type, Pebble Scale
Dominant Chroma affects not only the base coat (Brown to green), but it allows the merle color to take on another chroma color from a different base coat family (Purple from the black coat family)
---

Skysnolimit

Faded Animus Brown with Mantle and Brindle
Desert Type, Armor Scales
Animus is a legendary marking, and rolling for it was one of those 'wow did the dice really do that' moments. The fade marking pales either base coat, markings or both. This is on the darker side of what fade is capable of.
---

BKC

Chroma Brown with Spot and Mantle
Desert Type, Scaleless
Sometimes, Farallon don't have scales. Who knew?
---

Wildfilly94

Bleached Brown Marbled Cryptic
Common Type, Scaleless
This is not a typical way that 'Marbled' presents. The 'Cryptic' trait allows for mimics and special circumstances for markings.
---

Rosedawn

Faded Black Chroma Anima with Mantle
Common Type, Pebble Scaled
THE COLORS. THE COLORS.

Unbound used to be Unbridled. Search kind of whomps and gave me an unbridled thread before an Unbound one. But Leafy said I could use em. Though she said I could use them.

These are lovely!  I wish I'd realized what they were, then I would have posted a form XD

I had peeked in cause the thread sounded interesting, but I couldn't find an example for some reason, and the name was not ringing a bell (I may have been tired at the time, work is not letting up lately XD), so I wasn't sure about jumping in >.>

Edit: and my comp may have been not showing me pics, as I can now clearly see the image in the first post.... yeah, I am not sure how I missed that, unless comp was being mean!

Nako

Aw! Well don't worry, we'll have more events. Question though, Is my banner not visible at the top? It might be photobucket acting up and it just hasn't stopped working for me since it's on my own photobucket. It has examples of all the templates. Argh, I'll be sure to re-upload from imgur next time I run an event.

YourLoveOnly

No it works. And even if it's your own pb once the direct links break you'll see the same error image as the rest of us. Could be that the image was down for a bit, pb has had moments like that for months when for a few hours nothing would load, not even on their own site.

Nako

-shakes fist at pb- DX. I"ll get it tall on a new hosting service eventually, that way I won't have to worry too much about it. It may have to wait till Monday though unless I can get something done during baby naps.

Lectral

It could have just been my own computer as well - it likes to have days where it will not load pics, even when they load just fine on my phone or ipad.  I just usually don't check secundi on either of those!

I only realized I had missed the header image, after I posted that, and the thread finished loading all the pics XD

Wildfilly94

Oh my baby is so pretty!! Totally different from what I thought but I actually love it <3 thank you!!!

skysnolimit

Ooooo I'm sorry it took so long I am travelling, but could I please name my Farallon Fiver?  Also tell me more about the Animus marking!

Nako

Sure thing! Animus is a marking that allows either the base coat,  the markings, or both, to have a gradient effect, two or more colors blending and swirling together. I'm still working on making the different combinations available, but for this dragon she's got a mix of greens and browns and I THINK maybe a bit of yellow in there. She's a bit lighter than she would be if she didn't have the faded/bleached marking

skysnolimit

Oh wow!  That's cool I see it and it is beautiful!  ;D ;D ;D *special special*

Thank you Nako!

And pardon my signature right now <.<;;;;;
