TEMPORARY CRITERIA  - due to current situations with Secundi and image hosting options, we are temporarily relaxing the criteria for site agency applications.

To be considered for site agency, a shop must meet the following criteria:

1. All staff of the shop must be registered Secundi players, and the shop's main owner must be a registered Secundi user with an account that is at least six (6) months old, and who has at least 30 posts.

2. The shop must have at least 3 Secundi players of 6 months post "Pledge of Support" forms for your shop to become a site agency.

3. Agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
By applying for site agency, the shop agrees that Secundi may host pet images from your shop as site agency pets, and that said images are allowed to continue being hosted by Secundi as site pets for as long as Secundi exists.  You agree to only upload to Secundi images that you legally hold the right to use as adoptable images.  You agree fulfill or fully refund all adoptable transactions for your shop, especially in cases where orders involve real world currency.  You agree that you are responsible for your shop's transactions and that Secundi will not be held liable for them.

We reserve the right to approve or reject all applications still, of course.  I won't be limiting how many agencies I accept to a particular number or time frame.

================================

STANDARD CRITERIA (old)

To be considered for site agency, a shop must meet the following criteria:

1. A shop must have been active for the past three (3) months.  During that time, they must have had adoption events open to the public each month.

2. All staff of the shop must be registered Secundi players with accounts that are at least six (6) months old, and who have at least 30 posts.

3. The shop must have adopted out at least 70 pets to Secundi players.

4. The shop must have at least 5 Secundi players of 6 months post "Pledge of Support" forms for your shop to become a site agency.

Once your adoptable shop is able to meet the above site agency criteria, then you may create a new thread in this forum with the "Site Agency Application Form" found below.  Your shop's supporters may then post their "Pledge of Support Form"s in the same thread.  Please do not privately contact or otherwise pester players to request pledges of support.  You may post in your event threads a general request for support pledges to be posted.

Once your shop application has received at least five pledges of support from other players, the site admins will verify that your shop meets the criteria based on the information you provided in your form.  If all the criteria is met, then the admins will discuss your shop, and agree whether or not to make it a site agency.

In times when many shops are applying at the same time, we will restrict new agency acceptance to one agency every two weeks.

Applications are open on an ongoing bases, and may be posted as soon as your shop meets the listed criteria.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post in this thread and ask!

I like the change, it gives everyone a fair chance :) I know several shops who either took a lot of attempts to get in (like Miniwyvs) or haven't gotten in at all yet (like my Panda Shrimps), even if they do have at least 5 followers who really want them to get in. I think everyone deserves a shot at becoming Agency even if you're not the /most/ populair shop, if you have plenty of followers and are active (i.e. you've worked to become one), I think it's great that you can apply instead of waiting to get voted in :) Lovely change!

Silvanon

The currently active admins have been discussing this for several days now.  We hope that this new system will create more, and more equal-opportunity chances, for shops to become site agencies, while better ensuring that the shops meet the criteria we feel is important in a Site Agency, namely that they be established, active agencies run by people we know and trust.

Pinkshadow

Hmm.
- The 4th rule does not make much sense to me.

I mean i get you have to 5 players to post that, but the "of 6 months" i am not sure what means.

Winged

I like these changes, hopefully they should tailer site agencys to be what is best for the site, as well as making it easier to iron out mistakes before the adopt is an agency.

Pink, i think that means that the players have to have been on secundi for 6 months. That'll be to make sure that it's active players who make the recomendation, not someone's friend who's made an account just to get them in :)

BabyKittenCandy

Winged is correct, the players supporting your application must have been active on Secundi for at least 6 months.

SkySong

Really like these changes! Glad the ST had the chance to get in before these changes though - we would have been waiting a few months before being able to apply.

Oh BTW , does this mean that shops cant apply and be voted in anymore?

Silvanon

That's correct.  The old voting system is done as of this change.

Ryuukokoro

Although it is fun to get votes, it was difficult for some shops that had been applying for a long time, which wasn't fair to them. This way, everyone has the ability to become an agency, not just the shops that are popular during the month that the voting goes up. :)

PonyMama

I like this way
for me it did not sit right that new adoptables could get away with one event and get in when another shop has tried several times to get in, thrown months is not years of events and not even get close

Pinkshadow

Well i always found it to be a good way, because it ensured the most popular shops to get in first. Being an agency is abit easiere than not i feel. I had SO much easiere dealing with Masayo when they became agency, because i didnt have to cert which is a part i dont really enjoy :P

PonyMama

But how do you know it is popular with only one event and no breeding? maybe the breeding process turns people off?  maybe over a few events rules get changed and people feel it isn't worth it?

yes new shiny = popular....but for how long

ETA:
or how would you feel to have an adoptable that has many followers, you try to get in and don't get enough votes, so you try again, and again, but these new shiny adoptables keep getting all your votes, just because they are new and shiny?  It does not feel good to come in last, and even worse to come in last over and over.

By the looks of it that is what they are trying to avoid having happen time and again

Silvanon

The old system let in 3 agencies every three months, or an average of one agency a month.  This new system will allow a new agency every 2 weeks, or an average of two a month.  So, there's a chance for twice as many shops to make site agency.  I don't think we actually get that many new shops on Secundi, period, so rather that this system causing popular agencies to miss out on the chance to become site agency, I think it will simple let them in and ALSO let in not as popular but still active agencies.  And, once an agency meets the criteria, they can apply right away, rather than having to wait for the next application period.

SkySong

And, there are some shops that don't even bother certing, so you can do away with that just as easily. (ST technically did have a cert... But timing made it obsolete. I think the Elenaria didn't, either, as well as the Evolyx that Wild ran a while ago. Those are just a couple off the top of my head.)

and then there is always so many more chances, I never actually thought of that when reading through
I think I am done with agencies though, 4 is enough to handle for me :)
I can't wait to see more and more agencies

Rosedawn

I love that it forces some activity from the shops as well. A lot of shops fizzle in the first month or so and seeing that being active for 3 months is important is nice. It also means that people won't just show up right away and become an agency and leave people high and dry. That always sucks when you start getting invested.

SGA

The only thing I really have a "eh" feeling about is the sponsors rule.  I just dunno about PM'ing people to beg ask for sponsorship.  It just feels weird and awkward and.. the idea makes me queasy.

On the flip side, I also do not like the idea of having people PM me wanting me to sponsor them, and putting me on the spot.  I may not like the adoptable, and wouldn't want to hurt someones feelings.  I may like the adoptable, but not how it is run, and again, wouldn't want to hurt feelings.  Especially if it is a friend asking me, that was the nice thing about the voting actually, even if a friend ran, I could vote for someone else if i didn't like my friends adopt, and the friend would never know and have hurt feelings.

And then if I Do sponsor someone, I have to try and think, each and every time, of something to say why i think they should become an agency.  This, more then anything, would lean me heavily towards not sponsoring anyone at all.  I mean, what am I going to say?  "I think they should become an agency because I like their adopt."  That's about the best i can see myself doing, but I have the feeling that this isn't quite what is looked for here.

Anyway, I too liked the old way of voting.  And I liked that only 3 could get in each time, and there was that 3 month time period after before we saw new ones apply again.  I thought it was a nice cooling period.  But I can live without it *shrug* my biggest issue/concern is as I said, the sponsorship.  Both asking for them, and being asked to be one.

"I like 'em" would be a totally valid response to the "why do you support them as an agency" question, and is actually the response I anticipate seeing the most of.  Though I suppose there might be some "Because the owner is my friend" responses too...

Anyway, you bring up a valid point that people shouldn't have to be pestered via PM to support the adoptables.  That's definitely not what I want to see happen.  I was more imagining that the shop would perhaps say in a thread "we've met the other critieria, do you guys think we should go for site agency now?" and if they get enough people saying yes, go post the application, then say in the thread "if you want us to reach site agency, go post your support!"  I'll go add in a clause about not PMing people to become people to become sponsors of your shop.

SGA

And that effectively resolves my issues, thanks Silv!

*edits to erase caps and retype post with capslock off*  You saw nothing yes? <.<  >.>

I always forget to turn it back off after uploading pets lol

I like this way a lot better than the standard every three months thing ^^

Mostly because of the point that PM made :)

1. A shop must have been active for the past three (3) months.  During that time, they must have had adoption events open to the public each month.

Ahh couple questions regarding this rule.

1. "Open to the public".. Would my Rp thread count?  It was initially open for everyone to sign up to play, only once we hit a certain point did people need to PM me if they wanted to join in, so I could try and find a way to fit them in.  (not that that happened, only one person pm'd me, and then changed her mind later before I could insert her).  but anyway, does the RP count?

2. Do "combined" threads count?  By combined, I mean if I have a thread with events for Wind Surfers, but also events for Storm Chasers, will that thread count towards my Wind Surfer agency application criteria?  Or should I wait for combined events until/if I make agency with Wind Surfers?  I had planned to run duel events sometimes, since they are owned by the same shop etc, so just checking on this point.

1.  Yes your RP thread would count.  "Open to the public" means it wasn't a trade offered only to a specific person or persons.

2. As long as some of the pets in question were offered to the public for adoption, then the thread counts, regardless of whether other types of pets were adopted out as well.

YourLoveOnly

I have questions too!

1. If an event runs for more than one month, does it count for both months or just the first one?

2. Do we count 3 months of activity from the exact date the 1st thread launched, or just 3 months in general. Ex: if you launch somewhere halfway through February, can you apply on May 1st (February-March-April as your 3 months) or does it have to be the exact same date of the month?

Silvanon

Ok, for the three months of activity, it doesn't have to be exact, but it should be 3 months to within the half month.  So, if your first thread is posted in the second half of Feburary, and you have threads in March and April, then you can apply as soon as May 15th (the second half of May).  If your first thread was in the first half of Feb. then you could apply as soon as May 1st (the first half of May).

If a thread runs across two months, and for more than a total of 30 days, with pets adopted out during both months, then it can count for both months.  So, for example, a thread that starts on Feb. 28th and runs for a total of 7 days, ending on March 6th, can only count for one month.  But a thread that starts on Feb. 2nd and runs through March 25th (total of 47 days) that has some pets adopted out in Feb. and some in March, can count for 2 months.

Hopefully that all made sense.  If you're not sure about your shop's particular situation, feel free to ask either here or via PM.

Sunchaser

My turn for questions lol

My first thread for the Unilupes bringing them back as the tarakona Ormer was in December 20th.

So I can apply for agency status march 20th?

And second, i have unilupes from when i first brought them to secundi do they count for the number of unilupes adopted out + ones adopted from PI? Or just those that i have done in the three months.

Silvanon

Provided you have the necessary adoption activity between December and March 15th, you can apply as soon as March 15th.  (Your first thread was in the 2nd half of December, so you can apply starting the 2nd half of March).

Pets from your shop owned by Secundi members count towards your 70 total, regardless of who colored them, when they were adopted out, or what site they were adopted out on.  (Unless you're saying the old ones aren't part of the Secundi shop and can't be imported to Secundi.  In that case they don't count.)

Sunchaser

I think i have had threads during each month <.< ill have to double check that part.

And yeah all my unilupes can be imported i was just curious. I have easily over 70 i just got to figure out which are still with members that are active here and which are from PI lol but thank you for answering the questions :)

Silvanon

Hiya Folks!  I'd like you all to know that I am around again and will be able to add Site Agencies again.  There's a couple agencies that posted applications and met the requirements in the downtime.  If those agencies are still interested in becoming Site Agencies,  please post a note in your application thread and I will see to getting them added to the system!

Silvanon

The Site Agency Criteria has been temporarily modified.  This temporary criteria will be in effect for the time being, until it becomes impractical or otherwise necessary to go back to the standard criteria.
