Billions of years ago, Earth was covered with all kinds of wildlife, and man had not been introduced yet. The animals thrived, and natural selection worked at its best to bring on the rise and fall of various species. After many years, however, hundreds--no, thousands--of species were wiped out, and the remaining wildlife grew fearful of what had been introduced to Earth: humans. Then, one day, a large black wolf accidentally found a portal to another world.


So it begins...
The wind was blowing frantically, and it kept whipping my hair into my eyes as I walked along the long dirt path back to my house. I didn't know what was going on at first. One minute it was just me, hurrying along as fast as I possibly could, and the next I was stopped dead in my tracks by a huge furry beast.

I'd heard about portals before. Where creatures from other worlds pass over into our own. But I'd never seen it happen right before my eyes.

Before me stood a large black wolf. At least, I think it was a wolf. It's hard to tell exactly what something is that passes through a portal. Not only can the portals give an animal extra abilities, but they also lead to many, many different worlds. Her golden eyes seemed to peer into my soul, and I felt a tingling in my head.

Excuse me, but could you tell me where I am?

I was shocked. A wolf had just spoken to my mind! Okay, this was a little strange. But this world is filled with strange. I remembered what I'd been taught, to show foreign creatures that they were welcome here, in our world. I smiled and replied, "Welcome to the world of Secundi. My name is River. I am pleased to make your acquaintance." The wolf lowered her head, as if bowing, or showing respect.

Thank you. If I might ask, do you have living quarters for me and my companions?

Companions? I don't see any companions, I thought. Then I tore my eyes away from the animal's gaze, and realized that there were more. Many more. Perhaps too many. Where on earth are we going to keep all of them?! The thought quickly vanished. I knew what I had to do. It was time to call some of my friends, who live in the heart of Secundi.

Welcome to THS's very first competition thread! This is the first time I've ever tried anything like this (for any adopt at all, not just THS), so please be patient as we get all the kinks worked out.


How to Sign Up
- Sign ups will last for one whole week. So today is the first day to start signing up, and next Sunday (the 10th) will be the last day.
- You may enter a maximum of FOUR wolves. They can be in either four separate competitions, or they can be in the same one. But each person may only enter four.
- In order for a wolf to enter, they MUST be named.
- If your wolf is currently nursing a litter (the litter has not grown yet), she may not enter. Nor if she is currently expecting a litter (on the waiting list for breedings out of season or otherwise).
- Fill out this form when you are ready:

After Sign Ups
- Rolling will start the day after sign ups close (so, the 11th)
- Every day for 14 days, roll a 1d15 for EACH wolf you have entered in comps
- When rolling, include the ID and Name of the wolf along with which comp he/she is entered in.
- If you have not rolled your 14 days by the end of the day on September 30th, you will lose out on those last rolls.
- After everyone has rolled all 14 rolls for each of their wolves (or on the 1st of the month if people missed out), I will add up the totals for each wolf. THEN, I will add however many points they have for that stat to their total number. (so if their total for the Luck comp was 100 and their starting stat was 5, their new total would be 105.)
- The wolf with the highest total in each comp will win first place.


Prizes
- First place for each comp will gain a +3 boost to the corresponding stat (+3 Luck if they were entered in Luck comps)
- Second place will gain a +2 stat boost
- And third place will win a +1
- All other entrants have a 10% chance to gain a +1 stat boost
- There may be some other prizes hidden within the competitions, so keep your eye out for them

@Ember: I am sorry if I have caused any confusion in the past few days but sign ups ended Sunday night so you have 2 wolves entered not 4. I got a little confused because of having a fever on and off and being so sick while still doing stuff on here, but I did state in the rules that rolling would start on the 11th and sign ups end on the 10th.
