Salamanders?

So my room got painted today and it is....Salamander! The color of salamander >.> Hehehe, and my bathroom is now Japanese Koi.  Anyway, Salamander is a really nice, between bright and dark, green color and the Koi is a bright orangey yellow (like the color on the heads of the mostly white koi fishies).

So after looking through lots of artistically named paint colors and doing the poetry chapter in English, this has been nagging at me so I had to write it down.


Salamander Green

The newts and frogs,
Out from their bogs,

Follow Salamander to my walls,
Green trails leading down the halls.

They slide across the boring paint,
Giving it a mossy taint,

Having stewed in dewy soil,
The color, living, seems to roil.

Given the Salamander skin,
Along with that of all his kin,

The room that once was fully bare,
Is given the Jade King's robe to wear.



Hehe, I'm not much of a poet but it was kinda fun to do it.  =]

And thank you for sharing it, I just came from putting dinner in the oven and was rather annoyed, but it made me smile and feel a bit hmm lighter? of mood.
