basicly I got in the mood to write a story for one of my Hope and Siurin pairs so i decided to do the Painted unicorns. Ill probally have different stories for each pairing as its always fun for me to do that. So without further ado the story shall begin :)

---------------------------------

One must wonder what happens where their heart is torn. Fortunately for me it hasn't been torn, but it has been captured. My name you ask? It's Hope. Funny that when everything happening lately has been going down hill for me. However one good thing has happened to me. I met a painted unicorn named Siurin. At first I was curious because in all my traveling I had yet to meet a painted that had bat and feather wings. However this one in front of me now did. I could see blood running down his side, I was worried for I had heard the screaming of a stag before I stumbled upon Siurin. Fortunately I had not truly stumbled on him or he would be in more pain then he is now. Of course this is how we met and how things started to look up for me. Perhaps you would like to hear the story of how he came to be hurt and what happened for us to be mates? If so feel free to read my story.

The whispered sounds of a forest graze the fur on the mare called Hope. It had not been going good for the mare for it seemed everywhere she went people wanted her. Whether it was her herd mates, or even those not a part of her herd. She was being pulled apart. Right now she just wanted the forest to calm her.

Tri-colored wings lay across her golden back as she moved forward through the forest. Her feet barely made any noise as she picked her way through the greenery below her. The sun cast dappled hues onto her coat as she moved. The light was bright and when she came to a bit patch of the sunlight she stopped, folding her stockinged legs and letting her body just fully relax as her mind started to relax. She let a sigh escape her maw as she rested her head on the soft, lightly dewed grass, her ocean blue eyes closing with relief.

However her relief and relaxation was short lived as a scream split the air. Her body jumped about 3 feet off the ground, enough that she stood up. She looked around her, her eyes wide, showing the whites as she tried to figure out where the scream came from. She heard it again and ran towards it. It was a dreadful sound but all she could think of was trying to make it stop.

She stumbled as a log seemed to just appear in front of her, causing her to get scraps along her legs, blood now staining the white of the stockings. Shaking she got up and followed the sound as another shriek filled the silence of the forest, birds erupting around her and taking flight.
In the distance she saw a patch of light that was hidden in shadow for a moment as something took off. The mare stopped in her tracks before she moved slowly towards the clearing, looking down at the ground for the thing that was making a moaning sound. It had sounded like a male but she wasn't certain. At least she wasn't till she saw him.

Hope stopped as she let her eyes wander over the male, taking in his black tiger stripes and his white feathers with midnight blue bat wings. She raised a brow but moved forward as she watched him and the sky. Her towers were perked straight up as she tried to hear if anyone was around, but all she could hear was the males rapid breathing and moaning. She was about five feet from him when the ground started to get squishy. She stopped, looking down at the dark red liquid that flowed from the male to her hooves, causing her white hooves be stained red.

Hope winced but she knew she had to save him. So she moved to see his wounds. They were horrible and seemed to have been made from claws. She gasped at the sight of his shredded rump, something blue was on his skin but with the shreds she couldn't tell what it was. She sniffed the wound to see if it was poisoned or not. Finding that it wasn't she went to work gathering herbs and things that she could use to heal him as best she could till she could find her human partner.

With the spider webs on his body, free of spiders of course, she had stopped the bleeding. However she was still freaked out cause his breathing was still that rapid sound. She looked down at him, wondering where someone was when she needed them instead of the other way around. However as soon as she was about to give up hope who would show up except Daine and Degoli'zyith? As she saw the pair, her eyes went straight to the one also known as Indigo storm. His blue to purple hued body with splashes of white was just the right size to carry Siurin, with help of course.

She smiled and quickly explained what was going on. And with Daine's help she was able to get the stag up onto Indigo's back. With her near Siurin's head whispering that it would be all right and other sweet nothings to try and get him to hold on. As she spoke his eyes opened and for a moment she was lost in them. The color of his eyes where the iciest blue that she had ever seen. They matched in a way to her ocean blue as she looked into them. He moaned softly and closed his eyes. She had not realized she had stopped moving except that Daine was trying to get her attention. "Hurry up Hope it won't be much longer."

Hope nodded her golden head, the white of her mane floating in front of her vision for a moment as she tried to shake the image of the stags eyes from her mind. She moved forward, continuing to whisper to him and hide the blush that she felt creeping up on her. "Its okay, we will be fine." She looked forward as she held Siurin's head on her neck again.

Soon she saw the small cottage where Sunchaser, the caretaker of her herd lived. She gave a whinny to let her know they needed her.

*takes break to watch show*

As soon as Sunchaser heard the sound of Hope she came out, a smile on her face as she looked at the herd. However she saw the injured one right away and with a small gasp ran back inside to get a hold of her vet friend. In no time at all the vent came and fixed Siurin up, stitching him up and cleaning the blood off him as Hope and the other to painted's looked on. Once the vet left after being paid Sunchaser patted Hope's side and went back into the house to work with her other partner's.

Hope nodded her thanks at the other two, who wandered back into the forest to continue whatever they where doing. Hope sighed and turned to Siurin who was knocked out. His whole side was covered with bandages and she could no longer see his beautiful stripes except on his legs and his neck.

Her blue eyes traveled up his well muscled neck to land on his face where she moved forward to lightly touch his cheek with her muzzle. She was worried about him and didn't know why. So she figured it was just cause of her namesake that she was worried. She dipped her head until her white horn was touching his midnight blue horn. Her body stood stock still as she felt his presence wash over her, a small glow emitting from the horns. Her eyes closed and she was in a clearing. She looked up and Siurin stood in front of her, whole and healed. She tilted her head slightly in shock for wasn't he hurt and at her feet?

She shook her head slightly as she looked at the stag in front of her. "You are the one that healed me?" a male voice said. Hope nodded for she figured it was Siurin talking to her. "Yes... I brought you to my human partner Sunchaser with the help of two of my herd mates. What hurt you? And where are we?" The male just shrugged slightly as he looked around for he had not seen the likes of this place before either. "For your first question, a Painted Unicorn that wants revenge on me. As for your second question I have no idea. Last I remember was him coming after me then blacking out. I remember the ocean for a brief moment but I don't know how I could have seen the ocean when I was in the forest. Then pain as I was being healed and now here we are."

The male moved forward, his wings resting lightly on his back as he moved to Hope. His ice blue eyes never left hers and after awhile a look of surprise and awe appeared on his face. "It was your eyes..." he murmured as he stopped moving. "Now that I know what it was I believe I shall rest." He gave a slight nod to himself before settling down and falling asleep.

Around them the wind picked up and in a whoosh Hope was back where she was, her horn touching Siurin's. Her legs collapsed under her till she was lying on the ground, her horn away from the stags. What the heck just happened? She had never had something like this happen before to her. She shook her head slightly before looking down at the form of Siurin. Though she had only just met him he seemed more peaceful. Because of that and perhaps because she really didn't want to leave the stag that had brought her to another place, she curled around him and let her neck rest over his.

Nice start! The idea of a Painted Unicorn attacking another one for revenge is exciting, it makes me want to know more about Siurin's back story.

I only noticed a few word choices that seemed to take us out of the story, like when you said Hope was "freaked out" and Siurin was "knocked out." Those seem more like chatting terms, words you would use in conversation, rather than written down. In a story, I think "alarmed" and "unconscious" would work better.

And maybe in the first section it would be better if Hope went out and found her two friends to help her carry Siurin? It seems a little convenient that they appear just as she needs someone to carry Siurin. Especially since she was walking to get away from her herdmates in the beginning of the story lol.

I hope you continue! I want to learn more about Siurin's story and what Hope will think about hearing it. ^^
