(Stuck here so we can get a feel for these again. lol  Closed RP for now to re-find personalities, but we hope to open it up later. ^^ )

They were a pair, bound together through strife, hardship, pain.  They were enemies, separated by Type, memories... pain.  And yet, they were rarely apart now, for they were all the other had left of a once happy and pleasurable time, a time of mates, and quads.

They walked the green, rolling land of this new world, eyes open.  The Fire led, the Water followed.  This was their life now, this was their curse.  They didn't search for peace; that promise would never be theirs again.  They wandered and explored, risking their lives whenever they could, for there could only be one return to happiness along a dark road and a white bridge following the light to the great beyond.

Voice stopped abruptly, taking a deep breath through black nostrils.  The air wasn't just clear and cool, caressing his nose, throat, and lungs; it was pure, unpolluted, and a blessing to breathe.  His voice snapped through the air, a single pop in a crackling Fire, though the words were cold.  A command.  "Breathe."

Silence halted, a hair's breath from touching Voice.  It was almost unnatural how he remained so close to Voice and yet didn't actually make contact.  He breathed obediently, the strap across his muzzle not so tight that his airways were constricted.  He liked the taste of the air, liked that it was so clean.  He said nothing, though, simply waited silently.

Voice scanned the area around them.  "We'll wait."

They would remain here, virtually unmoving, until they had some sort of interaction with someone, be it good or ill.

((Man it's been a while since I've RPed T _ T;;;;; Gomen this reply is so short.))

Blinking in confusion she paused to take in the new surrounds. This was quite a change from where she had been just a few moments ago. Pausing she tried to sense trouble. She had learned that looks could be very deceiving in certain cases.

Hesitant to take any steps further before she knew what was out there though she cast her sights around trying to take everything in. After a few moments she did not spot anything that rang of pending trouble. Still leery she took a hesitant step forward.

As she traveled along her step slowly grew more confident.

It was as she was making the rise of a small hill that she saw something that brought her to a full stop. Of all the strange possibilities her mind had conjured up of things she would cross in her path this most definitely had not been on of the imaginings.

There, before her, were two of her own kind. Well . . . kind of.

Not sure what to do with this situation she simply stood there.

Silence turned, the first to notice the newcomer.  His posture alerts the Fire as his body tenses just a hair more, his body showing his interest.  Another Fire.  The Water says nothing, unsurprisingly, though he watches her intently.  She stops at the top of the rise and seems hesitant, though he doesn't know why she would be leery of her own kind.

Voice stares up towards her, curious about her appearance and, even more so, why she would stop so suddenly.  "Hallo," he calls out in a ringing voice.  He purposefully put joviality into the greeting.  "Wot brings one as fair as yourself to these green pastures?"

Being that they were still strangers she was slight ever so slightly nervous and hesitant but figured they seemed like nice enough people so far. The fire one had called out a greeting first, so she may as well be friendly back.  Maybe they could explain more about this strange place to her.

She gave a smile that at the distance separating them would not show the hesitancy behind it. "Hello," she called back, starting down the slight hill towards the two males. When she got nearer she answered, "I am not really sure how I ended up here." She gave a small shrug.

"Oh, wherever are my manners? My name is Apolena. It is a pleasure to meet you - " She left off waiting for them to supply their names.

Voice stretched as the female made her way to them, eyeing her thoughtfully.  The sun glinted from the golden tips on her back spikes and he swished his tail subconsciously.  Silence followed his namesake and simply watched her approach without movement.

"Greetings, Apolena," the Fire replied magnanimously.  "I am Voice, and this is... Silence."  There had almost been more in that introduction, but he'd left it out instead.  "We came by choice.  This place seems quiet and very amiable to life.  I fully expect to see some sort of local being sooner or later."

Silence shifted his weight as the female drew close, his blue eyes skimming across her rather unusual colouring before slipping back to their surroundings.  He was rather obviously on guard, though Voice seemed entirely at ease.

"Wot were you doing before you got here?" he asked easily.  "Perhaps we could assist you."
