I love the yellow kitty!
It reminds me of tyrannian kougras on Neopets. Ahhh those were the days... loved neopets so much, but I spent so much time on that site. Haha

How much for the yellow kitty?
And the eerr... yellow gumball?

As YLO has already pointed out in your previous thread, please don't constantly bump your threads.  Not everyone is on constantly, and it sometimes takes awhile for people to answer.

It might behoove you to look into doing some free events first to try to help garner interest or even post up in the Help Booths to discover if anyone is interested before posting threads here.

i, personally, am not interested in any of the adoptables posted here.  Good luck in the future. ^^

Neocridders

I'll buy kitty.
Do your adoptables have a name? They might get more interest if you have more than just 'random pets for sale'. Since, you know, people like pets that aren't just random. It's hard to follow random pets, because you never know if you'll like them, so some people would just stop looking after a while if they've yet to see anything they like.
I suggest drawing one thing, like the bunnies in the other thread for example, and coloring a few. Look around in the different adoptable booths, you'll see examples of colored adoptables. They are usually colored with one or two linearts, but not always. Typically, though, they aren't as different as gumballs and kitties. They'll be similar in type. ;)
Having a plan might help you better get started on secundi.
I'll send sg in a moment.
Can I name my kitty Tyrannia? Hehe

Neocridders

I'm with sera on this one. You're new here. It would help if you actually took the time to develop a pet, not just draw something as soon as possible and sell it. Because no one here knows you yet it may take you some time to gain people's trust. I suggest really developing a pet that you want to stick with for a long time, months or even years. Make or buy lineart including shading, color some and then I'd suggest starting with free giveaways. People aren't likely to buy random pets. And I personally am unlikely to buy from someone that wants to earn money as soon as possible. I look for people that spend a lot of time on their art and do that because they love it, not because of the money. The money should never be a motive for starting up an adoptable. I don't know if you're in it for the money, so please don't take this the wrong way. Like I said, you're new so we don't know you yet. All I see is 2 different threads made today with random pets sold for SG to get some quick cash and that kinda puts me off. I want to spend my money on an adoptable that has some thought put into it and that I think may stay around for a while. If you immediately start churning out pets and selling them for SG it makes me think you just want the money.  People prefer an adoptable that sticks around, has a storyline, breeding etcetera. I think you would have more fun here if you just took some time to adjust, read, chat, get to know the community and then start to slowly develop your own adoptable. Phieuw, that turned out to be a very long post. I'm sorry for that. Just trying to help you out here!

Goddesss

I would like the Pink and Blue gumball and the grey kitty.  Let me know how much I owe you.

I never said I thought you were mean and I'm not mad at you. I just find it hard to trust you because you hopped on here and made 2 threads with lotsa art to quickly sell.. That just kinda makes my alarmbells go off. The grass on the kitties for example is an obvious brush, I have that very same brush. Brushes can be very nice, but they have to match the art. The brushes used are of realistic kind and the kitty is a colored lineart with no shading. And you asked 10K for that while I know an adoptable here that is very populair hold flatsales with prices as low as 1K even though people would buy them for 100K, the artist wants to keep them affordable, does it for fun and obviously spends a lot of time on creating the art and that's what attracts people to the adoptie. I really don't mean to critize, I really just wanna help you get started here in a way that is fun for you and for others.

PonyMama

they aren't trying to be mean either, what they are trying to do is help you start out and be successful.  They are sharing how they feel about adoptables to maybe give you some tips on how they woudl become interested

Neocridders

You're art is cute, and no one is mad at you for trying to get started here. We all welcome you here. It's just, people are trying to help you. They are trying to give you hints and advice. This is not exactly like neopets. Haha ;) It's fun, though. You should hang around and get used to the place. It's nice. Make yourself at home!

Goddesss

Welcome back.  If you would like some help getting into adoptable send me a PM and I will try to help you.

PonyMama

I can also help you, I don't mind explaining things and answering questions

We are a nice little community, but we also kind of speak our minds.

I woudl suggest looking around, seeing how other shops run and get a feel for what people like and don't like

indigowulf

thats exactly what this place IS... an adoptable website created by the community that lives here. It was technically "created" by the mods and maintained by them, but the life that drives it is the whole community.

YourLoveOnly

This is indeed an adoptable website. Even the big agencies like TheKennel have pets colored by real people, not premade ones like neopets. The only premade pets you can buy over and over are Wobbles and Gidgets. I recommend starting with those. I replied to the PM you send me with some more advice.

I am just giving you advice on how to get started and also the things that aren't smart to do. Neopets is a much bigger community that handles things entirely different, so it's okay if you don't know everything. Please understand that what we tell you is to help you, not to put you down. If no one tells you what kind of adoptables people like you may not figure it out. If no one had told you not to bump threads, you wouldn't have known that's not okay. The only reason we tell you these things is to help you, please try to remember that.
