Back story contest-
Sera- I'm not sure what about your story it was, but I just really like the whole thing.

and since she PMed it, here it is for everyone else to read:

In the Forest of Winter's Kiss, a small herd grazes calmly.  They are surrounded by snow, with only the barest hints of brown branches and green pine needles evident around the edges of their clearing.  Even the sky is a glowering grey, showing no hint of blue or gold, symbols of daylight.  There's nothing particular impressive about this herd; they are the colour of snow, with the same icy markings upon their hides.  

Despite their ease, they are not alone, and it takes only a moment for the lead Pecora to lift his head, white nostrils flaring as he looks around him cautiously.  There, at the edge of the thicket, a hooded woman waits, her cloak a shimmering white, making her nearly invisible against the snow-covered trees.  

The Pecora's stance changes, a move to alert and the other Pecora answer by raising their heads as well.  He eyes the trespasser, but she doesn't move, not yet, watching the snowflake-touched deer thoughtfully.  Silence fills the minutes as they slowly slip past, each inspecting the other.  Finally, she lifts her hands, her voice a whisper on the wind that he can hear and understand.

I offer you a gift; the gift of friendship, of colour, of an outside world.  I offer this to you freely to atone for sins committed in error.  Accept or not, but my time is limited, I'm afraid.

He snorts in surprise, feels the Pecora shifting around him.  They separate into two camps, those behind him, and those behind a younger stag.  It's apparent where the two stances are, though the lead Pecora desires this gift as well.  But some must remain to protect their origins.  He nods gracefully to the other male and his son throws his head up in salute before moving to the woman.  

She smiles and spreads her hands out.  It's only a wave of icy mist that touches them, yet they are profoundly changed.  The colours of the world outside of their Forest, colours of summer, of autumn, of rainbows, and life ripple across their hides, leaving a glorious mural enacted upon their very bodies.  The newly-coloured Pecora mill curiously, inspecting each other, glancing back at their herd.  

The woman bows to the lead Pecora and gestures for the deer to follow her; with a few more glances back, they follow the strange woman into the wood and, soon, into the world beyond.

Photo challenge!

Your task, if you choose to accept, is to go and find as many of the items on the list as you can and photograph them. These items can be interpreted in different way, for example, a dog could be a real dog, a toy dog, a dog statue, a tree that looks like a dog, or something else that your imagination comes up with. These items can all be in a single picture or they can each have their own picture.

All items must have some sort of red/yellow/orange on them.

The rules:
-These must be your own pictures. You must have either a box of tissues in each photograph or a paper with your user name on it to prove that you did take the picture.
-Must be appropriate (I always feel that I need to say this one just in case, altthough I trust everyone knows this)
-This is judged on creativity, humor, and overall how the pictures fit together (if they are in seperate pictures, I am looking for more than just a picture of a water bottle, BE CREATIVE)
-If real animals are used, please do not cause them any harm to get a picture (thats just common sense)
-Please post photo challenge in red above your entry.

One suggestion for a game? RP CYO.  You would color one then have to RP it when you post it to get it approved.  That is if you are going to have them RP'able

Pecora!

What do you think of the art? I think Solistia is absolutely wonderful in her art, her ink, and her shading. I love it so much, and I expect I'll be stopping by to hopefully grab some critters in the future.
Would you like to see these be RPed? Hmm. I would, and I think it'll be very unique with their cold appearance, since they may have to migrate or something else. That could be for a very interesting roleplay.
One suggestion for a game? Catch the deer! (Like pick a door, a Pecora is hiding behind a bush and everyone must pick one of so many bushes to look behind. The Pecora will go home with whoever can catch it.)
Any other suggestions/complaints/anything else?
I'd love to suggest that possibly there could be some 'element' items, and with each item tied to a Pecora's neck (a necklace) they'd change to an element. This could be a roleplay prize. It's almost like a pokemon evolving if you want to look at it that way. You could possibly commission 'mutations' edits as these elements, so there would be a water based Pecora, and a Fire based Pecora, etc. And you could add more whenever you find more necklaces.
And, that idea may not go with your backstory you pick. I just thought of it now and I thought it would be cool to see elements instead of mutations.

Complaints... I think I've been blinded by cute. I expect a pecora to compensate for this. I think if I get even more cute, I'll like have site or... something. yeah. >.> *grabby hands at pecora*

We can start anyways. For anyone who doesn't know what a franken is. I will post a subject say "gender" or "body color" the first person to post a correct answer (so no saying female for a color) will get that choice put onto the Pecora. Once all the subjects have been answered then I will make up the Pecora and everyone who got one of the subjects will be entered into a raffle for that Pecora.
