I was thinking of getting Animal Crossing Wild World for the DS, it sounds really cool and all. But I need to figure out how much I really wanna press my luck with dad for it xD It's got wifi, but my question is.. Can you connect it to routers above the WEP key technology?(not sure if thats worded right at all =/) Pokemon Diamond and Pearl could only connect to routers with WEP keys, not WPA2, like I have, and all my neighbors(willing to share) have. Heck, not even my grandma has a router with WEP anymore. Any idea if you can connect to WPA2 key routers on it?

Since Wild World is older than Diamond and Pearl (or at least around the same age), I'm about 90% positive that you can't connect to anything higher than WEP security. If you have a smart phone with internet access, though, you probably can make a WIFI hotspot from it which I believe you can set to a WEP security mode on most phone service providers (I have T-Mobile, and I can do that). That is what I do now with my DS games.

I didn't know what age the game was, thanks. ^-^
But that totally sucks  :-\
I do have a smart phone, but I have to pay extra for hotspot, so does my mom and dad. And they just won't do it. *already has an unlimited plan for everything but land-line calls*

I'm sorry. Yeah, the WEP security isn't used very much anymore, so the older WIFI games are becoming obsolete, sadly. :(
I hope you can find some way around it.

Me too :( My friends dad had this router, where he could set up multiple hotspots and change the security(maybe it was a program, not sure) He has one for them with WEP, but we couldn't get it to work when I came over. Which SUCKED because I was all syched about a pokemon battle x3
