((OOC. This is a thread to deepen and discover the relationship between PinkShadow's Stella and Shadow Myth. Thank you for understanding))

Starwing's herd mills around, ready to start their long trek to the Willow Glade. The lead stallion shakes his head, remembering his first time. His eyes catch Yruvian's and he sees the streaks of Melancholy edged in his friend's face. Last year, they had to leave all of the Faettes at home because of the danger. This time, they've promised Maya, Efori and Lucifer to take care of them. More danger to worry about for him... His eyes pass over his herd as he wakes around them, checking whether everyone is accounted for.

Shadow Myth sighs. Another Journey to protect the others. For a moment, he wonders whether he'll ever be a true part of it. He wants to make the trek as one of those expecting to find love... and maybe a family at the end, instead of tagging along with the herd. Of course he knows the dangers of the Wintersday Journey, especially with the smaller Faettes along. They'll need all the protection they can offer. And so he has volunteered yet again, to protect those who hope to find their most wonderful dreams forfilled at the end.

His ears prick up a little as he notices his father's nod and he nods back. His eyes search for his childhood friend and he nods again. This will be her first Journey as a wing leader and he knows she's nervous as hell. Alright, Sparky, lead on. Good luck.

He's no longer a colt... and for this Journey, he has been appointed to protect the sides of the herd. Of course, it won't be that long until they will be moving single or double file, but that doesn't really matter, right?

He frowns as he notices strange Fae nearby, but shrugs. Of course the other herds will be close. His eyes keep following them though.

Stella was outside, and she had noticed she came closer to other fae's, but she had to find Magic Love, as Magic and another mare was the only form for family she had left. Magic and Stella, they had lost track of eachother somewhere in all the snow. She wandered around for abit, wondering if she dared to go any closer the the faes standing in the horisont.

She stopped up, looking at the herd and dreaming herself away; Will i ever get a family, like they has? Will i ever be a part of a herd and family again. She stood watching and dreaming along time before she moved again.

She wasnt a kid anymore, she was a Mare, their had no family, she has no memory of her own mom and dad, or other kind of family. The only ones she had was Magic Love and Devila, and she had rescued Magic once and from that day, they was together and together they found Devila. So they was 3 mares and no Stallions or males in this little herd, witch only meant more danger.

After dreaming herself away, in a long time, she decided to walk a little closer, very slow and quietly, as she was curious to find out who they where.

Yruvian

Shadow Myth's eyes are drawn to the movement of one lone Fae, who slowly seems to come closer. He frowns again. If the mare's going on the Journey, she shouldn't be alone. The marshes are too dangerous for a single Fae to cross. For a moment, he hesitates. Starwing's herd is so big, there's a lot of Fae to protect... but what kind of trouble could one more make? After all, they've always taught him to help others.

And so, after only a second's hesitation, the stallion leaves his post, walking toward the lonely Fae. "Hi. Are you going on the Wintersday Journey?" It's all he can manage, before the stars on her exquisite body nearly put him in a trance.

Pinkshadow

As Stella still stood dreaming, she got abit afraid when she saw the Stallion coming up to her, but as he came closer, she noticed he had an amazing glimt in his eyes, and some drawing colours else.

She heard his question, but she wasnt sure, so she looked around her, to be sure that it was her he talked to. She was amazed thinking Wow its really me he talks to.

Stella, wondered about the question in a short second and then answered "Yes, i am supposed to, but i need to find.." she stopped for a moment because she was about to say something else then she actually needed to find. "Need to find my mare Magic Love, shes a tiny faette. Blue and green."

She stopped again wondering and thinking about if he had a mare to protect already, she felt something, a feeling she hadnt tried feeling in a long long time, actually she wasnt sure, she ever felt that way before.

Yruvian

Shadow Myth stares at the mare in front of him. He blinks, drawing his eyes away from her markings with difficulty. His senses take some time in recovering, but at least his drilled in sense of danger and responsibility take over. Did she really say she lost a Faette? At least now he knows his initial reaction was a good one. The trek is a dangerous one for a lone Fae... but just about lethal for a lone Faette these days.

The stallion nods pensively, looking back at his own herd. "Come on," he whispers. "There's a lot of eyes in our herd. Maybe one of them has seen your friend. If not, I'll help you look for her." He'll have to tell  the others of course. They'll need to replace him at the side, so his absence doesn't endanger them.

He hesitates a little. "Is... she your only companion on the Journey?" He'd like to know whether her heart is taken, but it's not something he can simply ask in decency. Startled, he realizes he hasn't even introduced himself to her. "By the way... I'm Shadow Myth, but everyone just calls me Myth. I'm part of the herd over there. And I'm only asking because you're welcome to join us, for added safety..." his voice trails of at the end. At least he has found a way to get the information he wants without seeming too straightforward. Even so, he worries about her reaction.

Stella stood with her eyes on his pretty mane and eyes for a minute or two, while she listend to him talking, all kind of thought was going around in her mind, she was abit afraid to aprotch that many faes, when she was lonely but he was so kind and gentle to her.

When he was done talking, she shook her head and mane and said "Actually i have one more companion, another mare called Devila, she's looking for Magic abit further away but other than that no. We are only us 3, we realise its kinda dangerfull but we don't have anymore family" She stopped, thinking if she had told to little or much, and then she realised she had only told her companion's names but not her own, how rude he must think she was.

She hurryed and almost got it out wrong when she said "Owh Hey Shadow Myth, sorry that i didnt introduce my own name, I'm Stella" she bowed in front of him and then continued to talk "I hope they have seen Magic, but join you? Well, i can't just leave them, but if we all 3 are allowed to, i think it would be safer for us" she stopped, looked at his beautiful eyes and smiled, while she thought How do i get to ask if his heart is taken, her thought stopped as she was sure she heard a noise above her.

She was abit afraid of the noise, as it sounded like a big bird or like that, but she wanted to know if his heart were spoken to, before she said final yes to joining his large herd, it was abit scary for her, but she desided to stay quiet anyway.

Yruvian

Shadow Myth blinks at her in surprise. "Of course the offer is for the three of you. I'm sure the others will agree. Especially since we're already protecting some Faettes of our own." And if there are no stallions with her, she was a free mare, right? Then, he remembers his own mother, who is staying with her own herd, away from them and he sighs. Well, maybe not.

"It will be nice to have someone else to talk to on the Journey," he whispers, as his eyes stare into the huge herd, his mind on Spark. He sighs a little. "You know, sometimes you may lose someone even when they're still around." But then, it really is time for him to grow up... He's been an adult for two years already... and it's about time he finds his own way in life, as his childhood companion obviously has. Maybe with a mare of his own. He shrugs.

He turns back towards his new companion and smiles gently as he notices her nervousness. "Do you want me to go ask the others whether they've seen your friend? That way you don't have to meet all of them at once. I can introduce you to them a couple at a time once you find your friends and if you three decide to join us during the Journey. You'll find out most of us are just along to protect the few that actually want foals of their own."

He looks up in surprise as soon as he hears something up above. What can that be?

Stella looks at him while he blinks and then talk, and she just smiles alot.
She thinks abit over what he says and then answers "I'm deeply thankfull that you will help me and offers to protect us, that is really kind and gentle. The gal that has your heart is truely lucky" she stopped talking wondering if that was wrong said or how he would react on it.

After she thought abit about the meeting part she gather herself up to say, "If you go and ask the others, so we can meet a couple of the time, i will run up and get Devila, so she can meet them to" and she continues talking while her eyes is just in trance on him and his eyes.
Her talking continues with "I hope they will like us" she stopped again and glansed with her eyes on her, while thinking hes just so kind, sweet and gentle, if im lucky hes still availible.

Yruvian

Shadow Myth walks back a few steps, startled by her reply. He blushes heavily. "Thank you. But it is nothing but the way I was taught..." He shakes his head a little, blushing even more. "And... I... have yet to meet the one with the key to my heart."

The remark has left him baffled and nervous, scared to say more. He prances in place a little, unwilling to leave her and wondering why that would be so. Aside from child play, he has never had the attention of a mare other than his mother... and as such, he's utterly unused to the feelings that flow through his veins. He wants to stay with her, to protect her, even though he doesn't know more about her than her herd size and name...

"I'll go ask... and bring some of them along," he wheels in place, happy to have something to distract him just a little, especially if that means helping Stella. "And I'm sure they'll like you!" he calls over his shoulder, as he runs up to the herd again.

Stella can't get herself to move, when she look at him running back, the only thought she can think is "i need him, i need him to be with me". She was afraid of her own feelings, this was very strange and bizzar fload of feelings in her body.

As he gets smaller and further away, she quickly turns around to run and get Devila, she runs as fast as she can, to get back fast.
She runs up to the path, puts the muzzle on the ground abit and find Devila's smell quickly and she starts running again, not more then 2 seconds after she eyes Devila and yells after her while stopping hard up. "DEVILA!" she yells and keep watching her.

Devila looks up, and she sees Stella and runs down to her, to ask whats wrong.
She stops right infront of her, and says "Whats burning dear?" and awaits an answer..

Stella looks at her and says "I met someone.... erh ... I mean, i met someone, who belongs to a rather large herd, and they will help us find Magic.."

Devila listens to her and then say "Sounds great, lead the way"
and then she awaits Stella's next move.

Stella answers her with "Good, follow me." and then she turns on
a quarter and runs back, where she came from with Devila in her heels

The 2 mares, managed to come back before Myth did.
Stella turns her head to Devila and points with her nose while she say "Look, thats the herd i meant, and the pretty speckle Stallion, with blueish mane is Myth"

Devila just answers with "I hope they have seen Magic.." and she turns to look on the herd.

Now they quietly waits for Shadow Myth to come back.

Yruvian

Shadow Myth rushes back, hoping to find someone who has seen Stella's little friend. He doesn't look where he's going though, plunging right into the middle of the herd. Several of the outermost Fae frown behind him and shake their heads. "You'd think he'd start acting more mature eventually," Lightstar mutters.

"Myth? What's going on?" Starwing steps into the path of the younger stallion, his eyes suddenly alert. They haven't even left yet and there's already a problem at the borders? This doesn't bode well!
Shadow Myth rears up in an effort to stop before running headlong into his herd leader. "I'm sorry, Starwing," he whispers. "I... just met another Fae, who lost a Faette. They want to come on the Journey too, but there's only three of them. And I kind of offered for them to join us for safety. But we have to find the Faette first..." His eyes flit around, as if hoping the missing faette had somehow managed to find her way into Starwing's herd.

Starwing fights to withhold the grin. He shares a look of mutual agreement and amusement with Yruvian over Myth's head. Myth will always be Myth. "I see. So, you just assumed we would go along with this? I think we'd better meet these travel companions then." He motions towards the young stallion's father, who falls in beside him without a word, his eyes stern. Even so, Starwing can see the spark in his friend's eyes.

"Well? Lead the way. Chaos Angel?" The third of their little triad nods acceptance. He'll take over while the others are away, though he doubts it will be necessary. Three more to protect on a Journey isn't so bad... and he knows Starwing won't back out. After all, they all would have offered the same thing if they had been the ones to encounter the three mares. Or three stallions for that matter. At least it's just for this one Journey this time. 'Wing really doesn't need more to take care of. He's stretching himself too thin, even with the new wing leaders. He still feels responsible for each and every one of them. As always, Chaos Angel doesn't consider himself to be part of 'them'. After all, he raised their herd leader, didn't he?

Myth swallows a little, walking back to where he met Stella. He hadn't really expected to take Starwing and his father along...  "There she is... and she brought her other friend," he whispers.

"Stella, this is our herd leader, Starwing. And my father, Yruvian..." His eyes catch hers and he stands up straighter again. He cannot let her see him looking downtrodden... Both older stallions nod towards the two Fae mares. Yruvian smiles a little, as he remembers how he felt when he met Calanthe. It seems his son is falling head over heels for this mare. The way he's posing now, showing his full size... It's the only explanation that makes sense.

"We heard you've lost someone. If you could give us a better description than 'a Faette', we may be able to help," Starwing offers softly. "And... as our young friend already offered, you're most certainly welcome to join us on the Journey. There is at least some safety in numbers, though even then the Marshes are treatorous."

Stella looks into Myth's eyes while quietly listing to his dad and the other pretty stallion and catches herself once again thinking so pretty and deep eyes their has a beautiful glimt of sweetness and safety.
As they were finished talking, she bowed her head, to be polite, as they were elder then she, when she raised her head again she started to talk. "Hey, Im really greatfull for your offer, thats beyond nice of you and your herd" she said while she took a bow for them as a sign of respect and to say thanks, then she continued talking "First, this is Devila, shes the second in my family and then our little Faette friend, She's a Pegasus with cyan mane and tail, green body with blue markings, she even has green eyes, and of course she's about 1/3 of my hight or abit higher maybe." she made a stop to think and then continued with asking "Devila, do you have anything else to say?" She looked intense on Devila and then turned her head, to look intense and really long on Myth, while thinking He's so kind and gentle, i have never felt this way about anyone before, what is this feeling? she wondered, while looking at his eyes and when she godt eye contact she smiled and lowered her head once again, not sure why she did.

Devila looked at her while she speak, and as she stopped speaking and looking on the young stallion, that stood in front of her.
While being older than Stella, she was clear that Stella had fallen for that young guy, her eyes told it clearly.
After hearing her ask if she had anything to add she raised her head and said "Yes alittle my dear." followed by a brief pause and then she continued "Magic Love, is abit shy and she only truely trust other Faettes, she has been abit bullied by faes before, so  i think the best way to find her is other faettes."
She stopped and looked at Stella, who still stood with lowered head smiling at Myth.

Devila continued talking and was adding "Maybe we should let the kids.. or im sorry. Young adults be alone, they sure look like 2 their would like abit privacy" and she stopped her settence by a laught, and then looked at Stella in a apolygizing way.

Stella just blushed when she heard what Devila said about them, without really understand why she had said that.

Yruvian

Starwing laughs a little at Devila's idea. "I think you may be right. Youth and innocence... They have their charm, do they not?" His eyes catch Yruvian's, an unspoken warning in them. And don't you dare mention that to Chaos Angel. Years of friendship and understanding between the two stallions make words unnecessary.

Myth's father nods. "Quite. I think we can help you with your quest though. Our herd houses quite a few Faettes, even though only three of them are getting ready to partake in the Journey this year. I'm sure they'd love to join your search. If you would follow us?"

Both stallions watch the older mare, pointedly ignoring the 'young ones' in their offer, though they wait patiently for Devila's reply.

Shadow Myth stares at them, frowning a little. He wonders whether it was their intention to make him feel like a colt again. Knowing them, probably. He whispers at Stella: "I think we've just been dismissed." Strangely enough, he doesn't feel angry about it. Not this time. They've given him a way to be alone with her while they'll help Devila with the search for the missing Faette.

But... Magic was the reason they were talking... and suddenly he finds himself out of words. He watches them leave, swallows a little and looks back at Stella. "Do you want to go with them? Or... maybe we can see if we can find your friend by ourselves?" Anything to stay close to her. "Or... we could just talk... maybe? Because it seems your friend may run if she sees us."

#13

Devila listen to them and nodds with the head and laughs abit while saying "Yes, let's leave those 2, but don't go to far, we would hate to loose track of you two." and she wonderes off with the two older stallions, and when shes sure the young ones can't hear she says "I would be happy if Stella found her love in your son, she told quite abit about how amazing he is, and shes right he seems like a gentle stallion. It would truely give me peace, as i feel like her mother."
She kept talking while looking at the stallions and at the herd further forward.

Stella listens to Myth talking and watches Devila, whom she calls Reserve mother also going away with the two stallions.
She turns her head to Myth and laughs abit, while blushing and replying "No let's just walk around to us self and talk, maybe we'll find Magic, but if we don't i have faith in your family and my reserve mom." She smiled while she was speaking and when she was done talking she raised her head abit and shook her whole body to get fallen snow off.
She stood still, watching his every movement, and just feeling all worm inside and she thought to herself, i need to ask, i need to tell him somehow. i think i might, noo dare i say? i think i might love him. She was scared by her own feelings.
As she turns around she hear herself say "Come along dear" she blinks and turn her head around to watch here she walk.

Yruvian

Yruvian turns toward Devila and smiles. "Amazing, is he? As long as she doesn't tell him that. He might start believing it and we definitely don't want him to get an attitude." "We have enough of that around as it is," Starwing nods, his eyes bright with pleasure. "But I think love may do him the world of good. Sometimes I think our young Myth feels worthless... and having a mate who thinks so highly of him will help his self esteem." "As long as it doesn't give him any ideas," Yruvian mutters. "Being a parent can be the most rewarding... but also the most trying event of all, don't you agree?" Starwing laughs at Devila. "For every worry they give you, there is a moment of pride. And for each moment of pure joy, there's one of anguish or anger as well."

Shadow Myth watches Stella shake of the snow and smiles a little. Every move she makes seems to touch something inside of him. He lifts his hoof to follow her as she turns, but the movement stops immediately when she addresses him. Did... did she just call me... dear? He shakes his manes, pricks up his ears and walks up next to her, hesitantly brushing his nose against her neck, the way he has seen his father do to his mother so often. The smell of the snow on her skin makes him shiver a little inside. He doesn't talk, only starts walking by her side, his entire posture one of attention for her.

If Magic would pop up next to him in that moment, Myth wouldn't even notice. All of his mind is full of only one thing... the mare that called him 'dear'.

Pinkshadow

Devila has no trouble agreeing with them and laughs abit of their comments, and then says "if hes personality is what my sweet daughter tell's me that shouldnt give him an attitude, but not to worry, im sure she finds other ways to tell him if she wants, but yet i think its fun to see the gal ive watched over all the time be that much in love or what they call it" and she laughs again.
She turns the head around to look after those two and then she looks on the herd again and say "how is it to be a big herd, i never tried it" and she smiled as she stopped talking.

Stella watched him, as the walked along her side and she felt like a princess and when he touched her, she got an amazing worm and cozy feeling inside. she wondered why he had done that.
To take the focus on something else abit she said "i don't think Magic will run if she sees us, but let's talk about something else" she stopped for a moment to look at his eyes, yet again she thought the same thought as she had done more times today. She has a hard time turning her eyes away from him, so she stops up and think should i or should i not.
She keeps looking at his movement and shakes her head and neck and runs up to him again and suddenly she got insecure and said "Are you happy just being with me, or should we go to the herd?" while she waited for his answer, she was nervous and thought about how it would be to get a foal with him, if she ever was that lucky.

Starwing looks at his herd up ahead and sighs. "Having a large herd is like having a child, Devila. There are times of joy... and times of pain. But the worry never leaves, not even when they're all grown up." The herd leader snorts and shakes his manes. "I admit, life was easier when there was just the three of us, Sunbloom, Yruvian and me. Sometimes I long for the easy company we shared... and the peace of mind, the fun we had. But I wouldn't go back to those days even if I could." He shrugs. "There are few dangers that would seek to challenge a herd this size. It brings safety... and there's always someone around to back you up when necessary. We stand up for each other. Even for those that don't seem to fit in. I don't know whether each herd is as closely knit as ours, but I guess a lot of it will be the same. We all influence each other's behaviour and loyalties. Even the most pigheaded Fae will change little by little by the actions of those around."

Yruvian shakes his head. "But some will never change. Large herds have their own troublemakers, Devila. We have weak members to protect and hot tempers to cool down. A herd of this size needs a strong leader." He laughs a little. "And most people instantly think of power and physical strength when anyone talks about that. When you spend some time with our herd, you'll soon find there are more powerful Fae than my friend Starwing around. But they will never lead us, Devila. If they would, the herd would crumble and fall apart within weeks."

Starwing blushes a little, not too sure about the truth of Yruvian's words, even though his unicorn friend isn't the only one who has told him this to his face. But the unicorn simply goes on, explaining more to their new friend. "They lack authority and leadership, Devila. No one will follow them, because their tempers flare easily. A leader needs to be levelheaded, fair and gentle. Our herd will not follow a posturing macho with an attitude. We have too many different characters, too many strong Fae to make something like that work."

For a moment, he is quiet. "If something were to happen to Starwing, only two Fae in this herd could even hope to keep it together. And it galls me to admit our little troublemaker Divine Spark may be one of them. Sparky used to be the reason Myth got into trouble when they were children, but she's become one of the most mature Fae of late, easily surpassing her elegant mother."

Starwing smiles at Devila. "I'm sure some time with us will show you more than we could explain. Just try to form a strong bond with your current herd members, so you have their friendship to rely on when your herd suddenly grows out of your wildest dreams. Those earliest friendships will mean a lot then."

Shadow Myth scrapes away some of the snow underneath, a sign of his own nervousness. "I'm happy being alone with you, Stella," he whispers. "And I wouldn't mind talking about something else." He swallows a little, gathers all of his courage and blurts out: "Have you ever thought about having a family of your own?" No stutters this time, but it's only because of the speed with which it is spoken. The stallion blushes feverishly. "I... mean, have you ever wondered what it would be like? To go on the Journey, with the one you love by your side, hoping the Willow Glade will give you more proof of the bond by giving you a foal? I... I dream of doing that sometimes... but... the one by my side has never had a face yet." He bows his head, pretending to sniff the snow, hiding his embarrassment. What made him say something like that?

Pinkshadow

Devila listen to the two stallions carefully, and nodds with the head sometimes, because she can knows the feelings. When their done talking she smiles and reply "I understand, and truely looking forward to meet your herd, and the temper stuff i truely know, Stella also has her temper, but she can controle it and be really calm also" She looks at the herd dreaming and while her eyes glans on the big herd comming closer she says "I wish i once will be a part of a big herd, to experience that" she stops and smiles again, wondering on what they will say.
Devila gets abit afraid when the herd gets closer, and all the new noises and smells.

Stella blushes as she listen to Myth and his wishes and dreams. She stops and look at him, move with strange thought in her head she didnt understand she was having. When Myth was done talking she nodded with her head and started talking "Yes i dreams about it often, and i wish it would happen soon" she stops for brief moment and looks him in the eyes while continue the settence with ".. if it havnt happened already" she stopped again and blushed much, now bowed her head down while thinking Why did i say that, for a moment she was afraid of his answer.
Stella then ran abit further, then stopped and looked back at Myth, while turning around she run down to him in a circle around him, and brushes her muzzle and head up along his neck, and blushes while doing that because she just felt a strong connction and magic happen between them.
