Pet descriptions and Old spambots [Suggestion]

Okay, so I've noticed for a while, and it's only bothered me slightly, but now I've found it bothers some other people too. On pet descriptions, when you type something in it works great. But, if you ever want to remove descriptions, it's not possible for it to be completely blank anymore (there has to be something there once you've added a description).
So I propose a "Remove" button for Pet Descriptions. Not a high priority thing, but something that would be nice to have in the future :3

Also now that we have some extra Admins, I propose a sweep of all current members in the memberlist, and deleting ALL members that have 0 posts, spammy sounding names, and have either never logged in, or not logged in at an time recently (meeting all those requirements, not just one).

There are currently 6.5 pages of users that have at least 1 post. The rest of those 25 memberlist pages are users with absolutely 0 posts. When I go to find another REAL user on the memberlist, I have to swim through a bunch of non-posters to even find who I'm looking for. So I would LOVE for that to be cleaned up to actually see the people have are part of the board, and at some point /tried/ to be part of the board.

Support for both of these suggestions! ^^  i've rather given up on even checking the member list for anyone anymore. xD;;;;

Absolute support! It is really hard finding some users amist all of the muddle and I know I prefer clean profiles and would love to see the descrition box go away.

Wildfilly94

I support both!!
Though, the members one first. The descriptions I just put a '.' which is an easy fix for me, atleast, right now

Both good suggestions.  I'll take care of the description field, and I'm going to let the other admins see about clearing the member list.

I'd like to request (in case I am misunderstanding because I just got off work and am exhausted..) when sweeping the members, please make sure non-gaming accounts that we legitimately registered and notified staff of (prior to the new staff being hired) are not removed.

I dunno about other people, but I have non gaming accounts for reasons of my own, and they were never intended for regular use of posting and such.

Now, I am sure I AM just not understanding quite fully, because frankly my head feels full of mush right now, but I wanted to make certain just in case.

As for the pet descriptions, I've always managed to get them back blank, simply by deleting everything then pressing the space bar one time and saving. It loads to appear to be a clean empty box that way.

It does but I prefer not having the box at all which I think is what this is intended to do.

The pet description update script has been fixed now so that you can remove pet descriptions altogether.

I'm personally not too pleased with this one. We had a thread a long while back where the conclusion was to put a note on a pet's page if the original owner wanted it offered back to them before been traded again. Lots of people forgot about this, and I can imagine because it's hard to keep track if you have many pets. Which was where the suggestion to put it on a pet page comes into place. People could always remove and replace the message, but it could never be empty so there was some sort of proof a note had been there. Now I'm afraid people will go 'Oh but there was never a note and I don't remember so I don't see why I have to offer it back to you' I have had that happen before even when I had PMs to show we did agree on it, so mweh, not too happy with this one. And yes, I know at least two people who have removed/deleted the notes so it really does happen. I'm glad others seem to like it though.
