I'mma translator! :D (Finnish Webcomic)

As if I don't have enough on my plate right now, I've taken on the duties of translating a Finnish webcomic into English. XD Why? Because it's an amazing comic and I'm dying to know the story behind the awesome pictures!

The Finnish artist started this comic in 2004 and ended it in 2011. She has had some people over the years translating a page or two and she puts them up, but I am determined to get through the whole 200 pages of comic so I can finally find out what's happening in the story lol.

I was a bit daunted when I first started translating, but I've done about 20 pages now and found I don't have as much trouble as I thought I would. And now I want to proudly show off my hard work to my Secundi friends, hee hee!

(And nope, I don't speak Finnish. I use several online translator sites to do the translations, and that is usually good enough for me to understand what's being said maybe 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time I look up the Finnish word using several online dictionaries, or type the Finnish word into google and study the pages that come up, to try to figure out what the word means.)


The story takes place in a world where civilized packs of dog live on their own in the wilderness, alongside several large predatory reptile species--some more hostile than others. I know how much Secundi folks love adoptables like the Kennel and FCFC with all the different breeds, so you might have fun checking out the different characters of this comic.

That is so neat! I peaked at a couple pages, but do not really have the patience for webcomics. However, once it's all finished up I'll give it a go! It looks interesting ^^

I'd like to proudly announce that Isis posted page 116 today! ^_^ I'm officially more than halfway through translating this 200-page comic! It's been a long time coming but I'm really proud of myself for sticking through such a difficult project. I'm really hoping I can get the whole thing done eventually, I don't want to give up. I really want to see this project complete so the English-language world can enjoy this story as much as I'm enjoying it panel-by-panel as I translate lol. ^____^
