Storm Chasers Breeding

Breeding time is here, at the moment I only have one confirmed colorist for the event, so breeding is limited to one per person for now.  I'll let you know if that changes.

In order to breed, SC's must be named and have no unassigned stat points.  So please check your SC's before posting, to be sure they qualify to be bred.  Check the SC's profile page, in the agency box, to see if there are any unassigned points.  If so, you can easily remedy this by posting to the Stat Allocation Thread, linked from both my signature and the Agency Display page.  To name your SC, simply purchase a Bucket of Paint from the Agency shop and use it.

Mares may only breed once.
Stallions can breed an unlimited number of times.
You need a Bale of Straw to breed.
A Bucket of Oats is optional.
The person requesting the breeding must have the breeding items in their account.
Foals go to the person requesting the breeding.

For those of you with only one SC, or those just wanting a bit of random surprise, you can choose to send your SC off (into the wild) to breed with whomever they can find.  This could be one of another users SC's who also chose this option, or a completely random unknown SC.  If your SC runs into another users SC in the wild and breeds, you will both receive a foal from the breeding, and both foals will show in the parents offspring histories, and on each others siblings lists.  If your SC runs into a random unknown SC, then chances are you will never know who mated with them, and the foal will be listed with only the one parent.

However please note that if you choose a random breeding, and wish to use oats to increase the chance of twins, if your SC breeds to another users SC, then your oats will not be used, as there will be twins automatically made and split between the users anyway.  If your random breeding is done with a completely unknown SC then your oats will be used, and if twins result you get them both.

The first foals of the season begin meandering out of the forest, followed slowly by their tired parents.  Once clear of the wood the adults gently herd their young toward their human friends, leaving the humans to fuss over the newborns while the parents wander off for a much needed rest.

I changed how I determine what the foal/s will be (colors etc), I hope everyone is OK with this and likes the results!

That said, the dice seem happy today.  Out of 5 breedings the dice gave us two sets of twins, and three fillys! 

Random did not pair any users SC's with another users, so everyone's oats did get used.  Items will be removed from your accounts sometime today.

If anyone is curious about the random breedings, I have a list of horses (images pulled from google) that I use (for both male and female, depending on the gender of the SC breeding to them) and I combine/d the SC's users entered into random breedings to this list, then generated breeding pairs on random.org.

I'm keeping notes of who bred with who, in case anyone is curious to know.  but I'm not posting it straight away, as I want to see if I can make a game of some sort out of it after the breeding season is done

For now there is no end time, since things are going kinda slow on here as well as at home for me, and since there is already a limit of one breeding per person for now,I see no need to rush an ending.  As long as Sunny still has time to keep doing them, then for now anyway, you have plenty of time, no worries

Out of the breeding barn comes Frost and Echo, escorting a flashy colt beweeen them.  His eyes sparkle in the evening sun and he looks around at his admirers, giving a little kick of his heels for show.  Oh he's a handsome one, and for sure he knows it!

A couple moments more and the barn doors open once again and a black colt streaks out and begins dashing wildly about the pen.  Another moment passes before a lovely roan colt saunters out the doors, standing for a moment and striking a pose, before side hopping hurridly out of the way ofhis speedy brother.  The colts run off toplay as Kelpie and Lyra exit the barntiredly, the doors closing softly behind them.

As everyone is busy fawning over the previous foals, the barn doors silently open a crack and a shining buckskin colt slips through, stepping out to stand and watch everyone, his eyes sparking with intelligence and curiosity.  It's not long however before the doors are opened wide and a proud looking Angelo and Beauty come out in search of their foal.

Out the doors comes Glory and Snow, followed slowly by their foal, a pretty chimera filly.  She quietly slips out and stands in a patch of warm sun while shyly watching everyone watching her.  A soft gasp sounds as one of the trainers spies the soft heart shape on this lovelies shoulder, and the poor filly bolts to hide behind Glory.
