Flight Rising - anyone else here play it?

So yup. It's a new site (only a few months old) that I'm completely addicted to. Have no idea what I'm going to do during the school year, which starts in a week. Registration is closed right now since they got member-overloaded soon after I joined, but if we have Secundi people playing, I thought it'd be lovely to reach out to them.

I do enjoy the game when it's working, although the constant downtime and glitches have worn their welcome. I'm hoping these last few maintenance sessions keep the game stabilized for a while though. I have Skydancers to save up for. =)

I had over 1 mil then saw someone willing to give an Imp hatchling for a Spiral scroll and snapped up a scroll. Now I'm hoping they weren't just scamming and I didn't waste over 300k.

Bun: No real word there, since they're working very hard to stabilize the servers, but I imagine they'll make an announcement when they're considering new registrations. One of us can give you a head's up when that occurs.

The art's awesome, doubly so if you enjoy dragons. If you're familiar with NeonDragon, she's the lead artist and one of the primary site admins. I believe the site in general was her brain child, so to speak. XD

Also, the games and combat system are nice for a pet site. They can be on the buggy side since the site's new and overcrowded, but they feel like actual flash games as opposed to the standard click fare of most pets sites. They're pretty fun too, so amassing treasure doesn't feel like too much of a chore. The dailies are also fairly enjoyable.

The lore really makes it for me though. There's a ton to read, and the backstory of the world and the Gods and the species information is really engaging and fun. There's a bit more to the world than just breeding pretty dragons, although it certainly can be if that's all you're interested in. =)

Keilin hit most of it, I think. I love the site because of the art, the concept, and I can especially appreciate the sheer amount of work the admins have put in.

There is so much information I can't even begin to explain it all, but I have two very handy-dandy links to provide if you want to learn more about the site.

This is the site's Encyclopedia. It should explain just about everything to do with dragons (Three of the breeds haven't been written for, but I'll touch up on them a little). If you look at Genes under section four I will note that it only shows the Circuit tertiary gene. We also have one other called Gembond. Some people aren't big fans of it, but I think it rocks, so... (pun intended if you will)

Also, this is their youtube account. It has the cinematic version of the lore, some lovely art videos, and some explanatory videos about the site.

The breeds the encyclopedia don't have just yet are the imperials, snappers, and wildclaws. The only way we can get Imperials(commonly shortened to Imps) now are by breeding, as their scrolls have all been used (I'm pretty sure, anyways) and no more are planning on being created. Snappers are available for treasure, however, and are priced the same as Spirals. Wildclaws can be bought by treasure (On the Auction House), by gems (AH or Marketplace), and by breeding. People love breeding them to Imps because the game treats them as rarer than imps so you are not very likely to get a Wildclaw in that breeding.

That does sound good! Bit time consuming though, is it necessary to log onto the site often? I have times when i've loads of free time, but when i'm working i don't have much. I would be interested in signing up once they reopen registrations, so would be great if one of you could let us know when they're reopened.

I am with Winged, I don't have much time usually but sometimes I have a ton of extra time (school breaks, etc) and I like to waste it on games.

If you log on once a day to feed your dragons, then you get a little more perks, but the dragons don't die on you so if you need to you can leave it be. When the site's not lagging it takes less than 5 minutes to feed your dragons and use your gathering turns (Don't need to use them, but they can give you food which is important if you aren't going and grinding the Coliseum.). So you can play as little or often as you like.

Psh Neo you have a book? I have all three. XD Lol, but they come in handy so I don't regret getting any of them.

If Keilin or toff don't get to it before me, as soon as I hear they opened registration I will let you guys know.

So there looks to be a very brief opening for new registrations coming up soon, although the time frame seems a touch awkward:

We are happy to announce that we will be opening Flight Rising new user registration for a brief window on the morning of Tuesday, September 3rd from 5:00AM to 8:00AM PST

They want to monitor the site health to ensure that new users won't bog down the site and cause even more lag issues and glitches, but still, it gives you guys a chance to play along with us! We could use some new blood to revitalize the economy a bit.

I have no idea, really. I never pay attention to numbers, but yeah. From what I understand, this person was using an app that prevents images from loading so the AH loaded that much faster and they would buy all dragons priced at a certain level and lower, then exalt them all.

What browser are you using Winged?  I had that problem last night, when I was playing on my computer (IE).  So I pulled it up on my iPad and tried there, and it let me accept the requests.  Not sure if it was a browser issue, or if my mouse was being stupid again.  But if other people are having the same issue... probably not my mouse XD

I'd check on my computer, with a different browser, but I have no more pending friend requests at the moment >.>

I use IE, but i don't have any other browsers that i use, so unless it turns out to be a long term issue  for now i don't think i'll bother downloading another browser to use. But you're right that it could be an issue related to the browser.

ETA: Actually, i found that i've already got google chrome (must have downloaded by accident) so i've tried that and have accepted the requests. I also found that i couldn't send crossroads requests with IE.
