I've always had this dream of a pokemon breeding game since Brock is a pokemon breeder so I'm going to work on this in my free time and keep you guys updated here <3

Brock's Pokemon Breeding

You start out with either a ponyta, a pikachu, or a horsea egg (only the first 3/4 gens will be coded into the game) and you can dress it up, carry it around, put it in the nursery, talk to it, stroke it and maybe a few more actions while it's in the egg. Depending on how rare the pokemon determines how long it takes to hatch, your first pokemon only takes 10/15 minutes depending on whether you just leave it in the nursery or actually do something with it. As you take care of your pokemon and it grows, you can enter it in contests to earn money and items. With more money, you can add new type additions to the park you have where you can let your pokemon play while you're focusing on other pokemon/tasks. With each new addition you can raise new pokemon. You can also puchase a few pokemon, regular pokeballs, accessories, and toys. You can sell your pokemon to the store for a fair price (probably somewhere around 1 coin per 100 xp). You can win more incubators for your nursery (you start out with two) from the higher leveled contests. Pokemon can wear from 5 to 7 accessories depending on body type (2 bracelets, 2 anklets if feet, necklace, hat, and an earring if any ears). You'll also have a device that you can use to check on all your pokemon and portion out food without going to visit them all. You can breed pokemon of any kind together, but you have a 70% chance of getting the more common of the two unless you breed with ditto. The only way to get one if you master all five kinds of contesting. You can also purchase pre-furnished houses (ex. pokecenter house, gym house, ash's house, oak's laboratory house, etc.)

Here's something I found that is a lot like what I want to do;

SkySong

This sounds fantastic and amazing and a lot of work. I actually have something on a similar scale brewing, but I haven't made much progress with all the other things on my plate taking precedence. I'll be here cheering you on, though! Sounds exciting.

Also something that, in my opinion would add a lot of appeal would be world building. Give the users the capacity to design their own room. That would be something I would really enjoy! Perhaps to make the progress easier, start with Gen 1, so you only have 151 to program instead of over 500. Then, add each gen at a time. (Only a couple ideas, I love seeing other projects and adding input.)

Thank you so much ^.^

I'm actually ripping the sprite data from one of the 3rd gen games (since I'm not marketing the game I'm making, they can't sue me) and I'm going to put them in one at a time and test to make sure each one works :)

I may try that, but to start off with I'm going to do pre-made structures and then maybe add to them as I get better at coding and stuff ^^;;

If you or anyone else want to add ideas, critiques, or anything else I would be more than happy to hear it ^.^
