Title: Kitty picture
Post by: quyllur on October 01, 2009, 04:32:26 AM
My sister had a kitten named Axel and he sadly went missing last year.  We live in the country so there are an unlimited number of things that could have happened to him.  Regardless, he got let out one night and never came back.  My sister was pretty broken up about it and so I wanted to make her a little something for her to have as a keepsake.  So I drew and digitally painted this little number and had it developed on a poster size thing at London Drugs.  When I gave it to her she immediately burst into happy/sad tears.  I'm pretty proud of it and I wanted to show it off.

I love the kitty.  I'm sorry for your sister.

:( Happened to a bunch of our cats too. We've lost so many of our darlings over the years that now they're only allowed outside during daylight (but my dad's a pretty firm believer that a country cat kept cooped up indoors isn't happy, so he won't keep them strictly indoors).

You have great skill with the digital coloring, there! The stripes are so crisp but the pale brown in the coat has that great texture to it to look like real fur. I'll bet it's even better in poster size! What a nice thing to do. :)
