.FCFC.

If you have any natural dog or cat coats (colours/patterns/white markings) you'd wish to see become an official FCFC marking, then please post it here.

Please try to provide visual examples or a detailed explanation.

I may not accept all, and some may fall under current markings.

You can find current colours/patterns/markings here - [click for information site]

Thank you!

All the tabbies 8D http://www.messybeast.com/images/tabby-types.jpg
Although I think for mimics and stuff you guys add 'unofficial' markings anyway? Like I have ordered a broken mackarel with my current USD orders and have seen broken ones before.

Also must show off freckled tabby:

I think we're missing chinchilla/shaded/smoke/tipped (all somewhat similair) that were present in some of the old FCFC. -shows one off-

I am also missing calico which is different from tortie. -insert quote-
QuoteA calico-colored cat is a white-based cat that has large splotches of black and large splotches of orange that don't intermingle. Black, orange, and white are all (for the most part) separate.

A tortoiseshell-colored cat has black and orange mixed in together, in a brindle-type pattern. The majority have a 'split' nose (black on one side and orange on the other). They can also have white on them but that makes them torti and white, not calico

And we do not seem to have chocolate tortoiseshell which is different from red and black. -shows examples-

I also find your color names a bit confusing sometimes.. I know cats are are silver, blue and lilac. I assume your blue = dove because of the dove torties instead of blue torties, but it's still a bit confusing xD (http://fanciers.com/art/colors1.gif) No matter how much research I do, dove doesn't seem to be an existing name used for any type of cat coloring.

Okay, am done rambling now, I think xD

Your tabby links don't work for me I just get text saying 'MESSYBEAST' xD;

Ah! I had forgotten to make an example for Smoke, but that is a current marking.
For Calicos it is the same as above, they do exist.

I will allow for chocolate torties and add that info to the site.

And I will leave blue as dove for now (to go through and edit every dove cat and change the name would be a pain). I think people understand that it is the 'blue' of the cat coats C:

And although this is a natural cat adoptable, I don't concentrate on dilutes so much, it's more of just a mixture of the parents (with odd surprises), which I hope is working ok so far? xD;

Yes I like surprises in litters! xD And especially with cats and dogs where each breed has its own patterns and things it'd be a pain to figure out how what pattern is dominant over what :P

I shall link to messybeast for the shiny picture at the top with all the patterns: http://www.messybeast.com/spotted-cats.html
And if you scroll down you can see the awesomeness that is freckled tabby. It has spots, like spotted tabby, but the spots are far smaller and there are like 10x more. It is so pretty <3 SPOTS ALL OVER 8D

And yay now I must get a chocolate tortie because I love that color combo so <3

By the way.. What in the world in this coloring? It's a kitten from someone I know and she's the most gorgeous and adorable thing ever but I have no idea what her coat is called xD

I think she'd be a red tortie with tabby because that's like the only tortie shade even somewhat similair |D

Willow

I'm no where near an expert, but I'd go with you xD;
It is very unusual, like in some parts she's part of another colour altogether (like a chimera horse) oWo

Aha! I can see the site now thank you C:

Mask-and Mantle Cat Markings
Two-tone cats are considered to be mask-and-mantle cats if they have black markings that cover their upper face, as if to form a mask. Additionally, a mask-and-mantle cat will have a single, unified marking that extends entirely down the cat's back, up to and including his tail. These are also called "black mask cats" when the marking is entirely black.

Cap-and-Saddle Cat Markings
A cat with cap-and-saddle markings looks very similar to a cat with mask-and-mantle markings, but its "mantle" is interrupted with white markings, leaving its forehaunches white. These cats have colored markings on their ears and sometimes "masks" covering their eyes, as well as a single, unified marking that covers their backside and tail. Like Mask-and-Mantle cats, they are sometimes labeled "black mask cats" if their markings cover the face and are black.
