The fishes decided it would be fun to have a little game. Specifically, the carps did it. They aren't feeling quite as loved as the bettas, so they're holding a mini-uprising, swarming my booth and demanding homes. But not just a simple giveaway or a sale, oh no, they had to make it difficult.
The Goal - to identify what each fish has mimicked, getting as many possible right
Rules - Entries must be messaged to ME, at this account
- Only the first 20 entries will count, so there's a speed component
- Entries will end after 20 messages are received
- However, I will be giving clues every few minutes or so, so there's a strategy component.
- You cannot change once you submit to me
- Each fish correctly identified will earn 1 point
- You must put -something- for all 20 fish
- Highest scoring entry picks their prize first, from the mimicking fish
- In the event of a score tie, order will be randomized
- Do not discuss Fight Cl- the game with others, everyone for themselves. That means no 'I know what that one is' comments, as others may still be submitting entries.

Hahaha. I started the game once, got bored and let all the fish die (I had a huge spreadsheet of all the breeding fishies too!). Then picked it up a second time, but only played a little and then put it on pause and never went back to it. I dunno if I'll pick it up a third time. It's fun in a methodical way!

Splitty, there are free trial downloads all over the web, just be careful where you get it. I got mine originally from wild games, in my wild games console. So I didn't OWN the full version poer sey, I just paid wild games "tokens" each time I played.

I didn't. I don't want to even think about it. They are all so lovely, I am hoping a lot of my answers are wrong actually, so the list gets shortened a lot before its my turn. I picked my top 5 favs and put them on a list, and least favorite 2 on the bottom. basically randomized the rest and wrote them all down. Ill cross off each fish as other people pick them, that way, when my turn comes, it will be easy to pick. Whatever the highest one on my list thats not already taken is, thats the one Ill pick.

YES, I know its an odd name, but I used to own an Occelaris Clownfish named Apple. Dad's fault. I had gone to the Aquarium to buy a pair of them and they had none, so I got this tiny gorgeous single that was meandering in the tank. I bought it and took it out to show dad and he says "Weren't you getting TWO?" and I say "They didn't have any pairs." And dad says, "No pears, just apples!"
So the poor fish ended up being named Apple!
There are so many pretties there, but I wanted that Clowny mimic since I first saw it!!!

Thanksgiving is a weird holiday, I think lol. Here in the US, instead of giving it a particular day, it's always "the 4th Thursday of November." Strange! And in Canada also, it's "the second Monday of October."
For both US and Canada, the holiday is strongly tied to the great bounty of food that comes around in the fall (harvest time, when you collect all your crops in off the fields). So if Australia isn't heavily into agriculture, that might be one reason why you don't have a similar holiday.

Australia IS a very agricultural country, but I think we're more... cattle and sheep kind of agriculture, rather than crop type agriculture... Most properties I guess run cattle more than planting and harvesting crops.

Mine was a no brainer. I saw Clownfish and THAT fish alone was the primary reason I entered the entire contest! The others are no doubt gorgeous, but after owning 8 clownfish total during my marine tank lifetime, I have a "thing" for the clownies.
I want to set up a 10 gal nano tank and get a small pair of them. I love them!
I would love to have a saltwater tank.. especially a little one!
well they ARE doable, you just can't put a lot into them...
and keeping them at the correct temperature is hellish. If you have corals, you can never let the temperature get too high as your corals turn to mushy waste and it kills your fish. I learned that the hard way when it got too hot in summer and I couldn't keep my tank well cooled enough.
Just let me figure out who was taken then I will see who I want. Sorry for any wait, I just got home and it is almost midnight.
