YES, I know its an odd name, but I used to own an Occelaris Clownfish named Apple. Dad's fault. I had gone to the Aquarium to buy a pair of them and they had none, so I got this tiny gorgeous single that was meandering in the tank. I bought it and took it out to show dad and he says "Weren't you getting TWO?" and I say "They didn't have any pairs." And dad says, "No pears, just apples!"
So the poor fish ended up being named Apple!

There are so many pretties there, but I wanted that Clowny mimic since I first saw it!!!

We don't even HAVE Thanksgiving here in Australia... I think we should have something like it though, because, as Australians, we have a lot to be thankful for. That we live in the country we live in, that we have a beautiful country, that even though times are hard, we are still surviving...
It might not be the same as the American traditional Thanksgiving, but in Australia we should have our own kind...

Thanksgiving is a weird holiday, I think lol. Here in the US, instead of giving it a particular day, it's always "the 4th Thursday of November." Strange! And in Canada also, it's "the second Monday of October."

For both US and Canada, the holiday is strongly tied to the great bounty of food that comes around in the fall (harvest time, when you collect all your crops in off the fields). So if Australia isn't heavily into agriculture, that might be one reason why you don't have a similar holiday.

Lol I didn't pick out a favorite for that reason I sent in mostly with guessed answers so I'm the 3rd from last on the list XD But there are no three left that I absolutely dislike so I'm just looking at it that way, I'm not going to end up with one I don't like (mostly because I quite like them all... Australia IS a very agricultural country, but I think we're more... cattle and sheep kind of agriculture, rather than crop type agriculture... Most properties I guess run cattle more than planting and harvesting crops.

Mine was a no brainer. I saw Clownfish and THAT fish alone was the primary reason I entered the entire contest! The others are no doubt gorgeous, but after owning 8 clownfish total during my marine tank lifetime, I have a "thing" for the clownies.
I want to set up a 10 gal nano tank and get a small pair of them. I love them!

well they ARE doable, you just can't put a lot into them...
and keeping them at the correct temperature is hellish. If you have corals, you can never let the temperature get too high as your corals turn to mushy waste and it kills your fish. I learned that the hard way when it got too hot in summer and I couldn't keep my tank well cooled enough.
