Ok, Im going to start one of these interest threads and have people like it, I swear I am! Im not gonna quit trying until I get a good one lol.
(no, im not abandoning kittlings/cry babies, just have other things that i wanna bring)
So, before my old harddrive crashed, these were the first *ever* digital lines that I did 100% freehand.
Here was the first ever finished product:

as you can see, it was very.. grainy.. and not so well done. Then, I lost my files and all I had left were these "sample" watermarked images. I figured all was lost.

Then, after I all but forgot about them, someone dug up my first intros thread and PM'd me, asking if I still ran them. Suprised, I decided to try to un-watermark them and turn them back into useful templates. Looking at my art as I went along, I just had to smooth the edges out. Here's what came out:

As I played around trying to get the highlights to not overwealm the image, I began toying with things. Im happy with how things turned out, and here is a sample of a finished template of a fire female, with effects.

So.... what does Secundi think? To bring, or not to bring?
I like the art, but I'm not too fond of the background/cert.
If it'd be on another cert I would defenitely like to see them ^^
unfortunately, since I was trying to recover them from the flat "sample" marked images, it would/will be very difficult and time consuming to try to change the black background completely.
I dont think it would be too hard to liven it up though. Once I have the rest of the elements rescued, Ill start seeing what I can do about the black.
I agree, but only because I would want a black one lol and that would be difficult with a black bg :)
working on removing the black outline, but Im concerned the "inking" is too heavy and looks weird. the face and forleg area are about as refined as I can get them. Are they still too dark?
(there is no highlight layer on this image, have it turned off while I work on it)
Should i continue fining down the lines like the face and front legs, or leave it like the tail/flames are, thicklike?

Ohh I think it's beautiful just as it is now. Good job on that! :D
I would them either way. I think they look nicer with an outline ^^
And, like Kadana said, this now means I can get black ones! ^^
Ooh, I love them now that the black background is gone! I would definitely adopt :D
Final version, including small cert. Planning on having all PI genes available.
Submitted for your final approval (again a female fire version)
only the ghosts cannot be rescued from thier black background of doom. Then again, they are ghosts.. they should be on a black background :)

I really love them!
And yay! *wants lots of double and visible visibles* ^^
wow they're adorable, indigo! :D
thanks :) Im still proud of them as a first ever digital project I did freehand.
Got them all re-templated. Now I need to make some premades and move the site off google (ugh!) then Ill start some up.
Right now, they match PI ponies. They have the same genetics, and the same hex patterns (extra 1, hair 2, ect). Since you cant see thier eyes, no hex there. Ill make a website that explains the genetics and stuff, for anyone not on PI.
Right now, I have other things I need to catch up on and focus on before I bring these out for real. (kadana's kittlings from breeding still arent done!)
