So, I just rediscovered foopets, got myself a female husky pup, and think it would be neat as anything if secundi people who play there were to all add eachother to a big friends network. That way, we could breed together, take care of each other's pets when someone goes out of town, and just generally have people we trust there.

I made one a while abck, cos it looked relaly neat.  Had a cute rotty pup.  But I left relaly fast after creating the account, when I tried t do somethign and was told I needed to log in to my space or some such.  No game is worth that heh

eh it has the option to share things like pics you take and high scores you get with your myspace page. i just cancel it and move on. its not required to play.

aww was that it??  I was just playing around clicking buttons to see what all I could do.  When the thing popped up telling me I had to log into my space or what not, I just X'd out of the browser window entirely and never went back.

Now I feel bad for abandoning my pooch.  Maybe I shall give it another try.

Is the only way to get FD to pay actual $$ or fill out spammy surveys? If I don't want to do either of those, will it not be possible for me to get more pets or breed Lucy when she grows up?

My friend told me about it on Friday, and she pays quite a bit of USD on her pets. (like $60 on one calico kitty) I think of it's sort of like PI, but the in game currency is pretty much useless unless you have a TON. (and she fills out the spammy surveys a lot too)

im absolutly never going to put real $ into it, and i appearantly dont qualify for any surveys lol. on the forum, under "village" you can get paid FD to care for other peoples critters if they have to be away from thier internet.

Gonna try to get you all friended. if you friend eachother too, we can have a huge friendy network and none of us will ever have to pay someoen else to care for our pets

I played foopets for two days.   Realized it was absolutely eatting me, and would continue to do so as long as I was active there, so I turned in my cat and left.  *laughs*

For those asking about foodollars, just pick the latest item (I went for backgrounds) that can be purchased for foogems, buy it with foogems, then put it up for sale for 4 foodollars.  I got up to about 30 foodollars in my two days there, about half of which was doing that (other half was spammy surveys).

Kadana, how are you getting your FD? Actual money? Or surveys? If you're doing surveys, could you tell me which ones you've been using, as I've tried multiple surveys and they tend to tell me I'm "not eligible" after about ten minutes of filling in data I've only got 12FD from surveys so far, and I really want to either a) buy more dogs, or b) speed Lucy's growth and then breed her. And the later at least will be 120FD total... sigh.

I did buy some yes.  But others is from doing the surveys and such.  MOST of it is from watching the commercial video's they put up.  Let's see.. 200 fd came from purchasing it.  I'm not sure how much I have "earned" from site.. I know I bought a litter license (100fd) a kitten and puppy (kitten 60 fd, puppy 40 fd)  paid to advance age both my original pup bruno and my new pup lily (40 fd total there).. I bought some items with fd as well, not any and not for much (like 5 and 10 fd each) but can't remember exactly.. and am now saving for the second litter license I need (I've got 95 fd saved, just need 5 more)

So.. I guess I did earn quite a bit of fd off the site itself.  though I hadn't realised until now it was quite that much lol

As to which ones actually paid hmm not sure I can remember them all, but maybe I can find a ledger somewhere.. I'm sure i saw one..

As I said though, most came form the video's.  At the top of the screen there is a banner that changes, advertising to buy fd's, or earn fd's etc.  One of the things it changes to says watch video's for fd's.  The "video's" are really 60 second commercials.  You only get 1 FD per video you watch, but they add up.  The problem is, they aren't always there.  There is this one, for Black Diamond.. floor polish or something.  It's the only one I've seen.  So far, it has shown up every other day, and disapears after you watch it once.. except for the last time, it stayed there for several hours.  I think what happens is it goes away after it's been viewed X amount of times, then come sback at a later date.. and I just got lucky and not many were on to view it then or such.  So I did get a good deal form that.

Found the ledger, it's in a tab under account.. but it doesn't list the exact offer you did.. I'll have to see if I can find that elsewhere.  But yea, I only got "paid" for 4 things not counting the video's..

I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can locate which offers I did that actually paid me (because I did a LOT of those offers..) just most don;t actually pay :S  I'd look now, but as you can probably tlel form my horrid typing, I'm half asleep.  I'm just going to tend my pets then go to bed, I shoulda been there hours ago :|

Edit Again: you're welcome, I enjoy feeding and playing with them, I was actually worried someone was going to get riled over it (saw some nasty messages posted on some folks profiles) made me rather leery, to tlel you the truth :S

I think the only reasons people would get mad at someone for feeding thier pets is if they cared about getting karma. then again, you can just feed them again, its not like they overeat. some children *sigh* at least we have a nice network of not-brats

I tried some more offers today, and actually found some that worked for me (downloaded a few silly toolbars and immediately deleted -- then ran my Norton Scan). I was able to afford my second dog, a Dalmation girl named Delia
