Livery Stables

You find yourself looking inside a barn, stables full of sun rays and gleaming beautiful horses. Of every color and pattern, they seem like mystical creatues as their shining glimmer. A lovely woman approachs you.

This is the livery stables she says we raise and breed superb quality horses for showing in the arena. she pauses How can I help you?

you inquire Im here to purchase a horse. she smiles widely Well then you are in the correct place.

The livery stables thrives because they understand the genetic makeup of every horse the own. Their foals are carefully calculated and if a horse is bred that does not pass the quality standards they are sterliezed and sold as pets only.

We expect you to use the same standards when breeding your own horses. There for we have a few standards for you to look at.

-Our horses are never inbred or over bred.
Mares are bred a max of 5 times in their life time and we give them breaks inbetween seasons.
We do not practice inbreeding of any sort here at the livery.

-We breed in "seasons" which allows us to control the outcome of all the foals. We do not allow our stallions to come in contact with our mares but every other month.

-We are careful about breeding horses when it comes to overo and overo patterns. Mares that show or carry overo are not bred to stallions that show or carry overo. The chance of a disabled foal is far to high.

-We do not breed horses that do not meet the above standards. So if we get a mare in thats over bred, or a disabled overo foal for example that are sterlized and sold to pet only homes.

We follow these rules strictly, we ask our clients to do the same. However we cannot force you to follow them also. These are at your own risk.

Breeding

Breeding happens in seasons, and when breeding we ask that you follow the above standards.

Breeding occurs when you posses a mare and stallion or the permission to use them for another owner.

Mares may breed once a season.
Stallions maky breed as many times as youd like.

Breeding happens between the first and fifth of the month.
On the 15th of the month mares are scanned.
On the 30th mares give birth to the foals.

Foals grown 30 days after birth, and can be bred.

Noted breeders are people whom have notably bred quality horses over a matter of 3 seasons. These breeders may breed up to 3 mares while none noted breeders may breed 2 mares per season.

All may only keep 2 foals per season. You must find homes for them by the 30th day when they grow. Names are given after the foals have grown.

Affixs may be added to foals that you breed, they go on the end of names. You must first register your affix for a price of 50k pg and it may not be any longer that 5 characters.

If a foal is born disabled, they are sterlized at birth and cannot be traded or sold. You can claim them as one of your two foals or they can be given back to the livery.

Mares can concieve and birth twins, they are considered as a single foal slot if they are kept or traded together.

When born foals have a genetic make up of 7 locuses, the livery keeps records of each genetic makeup and an owner can purchase said record for a price of 25k or they are welcome to guess the makeup and once a locus is correctly figured out the livery will disclose that the infomation is correct.

Breeding For Secundi

Because secundi is a smaller community breeding will not be confined to seasons. However since I'm allowing trading and such between PI and secundi I'm leaving PIs breeding stuff up.

Breeding for secundi will be open all year long. However there are still some guide lines.

Showing

There are three months for which the horses can show in, each quarter contains two shows, one is horsemanship and the other is showmanship.

Horsemanship is an RP that is centered on which the horses looks and attitude are tested.

Showmaniship is an RP that is centered on which the owner/showers ability to handle the horse is tested.
