Basically, a 'Tavern Cat' started out as a barn cat that kept company at the taverns. They were most often picked off the street, and any significant breed standards were quickly lost. However, they grew more empathetic towards humans, more intelligent. Before long it was impossible to deny that they were sentient life, and today they are considered close companions. They lead the wandering home. They are a warm body on a cold night. A guardian in the dark. They are the cats of the Starlight Taverns.

Dear Diary...

The life of a Tavern cat can be very interesting indeed. Tails and paws are tread upon, strange noises are heard, and other cats look at them the wrong way. While they have yet to develop opposable thumbs, they are definitely capable of retaining their past experiences.

To enter, post a little blurb about something that happened in the day of your Tavern Cat in green. (You may choose a specific one, but if you do not own one you may still enter.) You may enter once a day for a total of seven entries. Entries will be randomized to select a winner. The winner will receive an Essence of Life (Basic Breeding) which may be turned in at any time.

The world in which the Taverns exist in is beautiful; and at times, strange. This is an opportunity to create a plant that exists here. Flora

This silver barked tree tends to grow near large, clear bodies of water. The leaves are a light, iridescent blue and shaped like a pointed oval, infact rather like a teardrop. The trees grow to be about the size of an oak, indeed it is a cousin of the oak, even dropping silver acorn like seeds.  Due to its color, leaf shape, and appearance near bodies of water, the Teartree has had a great deal of mythology spring up around it.

Dear Diary...
   Today some great oaf trod upon Oksana's foot, and didn't evne notice!  She is quite hurt, and has decided it is time to move on, and find a new home, this one has become just way too crowded with humans tromping everywhere.

Dear Diary...
Hello Diary, 'tis I, Elle Driver, again!  (Alas, I have yet to learn how to write, but I have conned my human into doing it for me.)  Today I trained to improve my stealth and agility by tripping the feet of 6 different patrons.  Bwahahaha, you should have seen their faces as they flailed to stay upright!  I also managed to steal a slice of fish before cook put it in the pot of fish stew.  It was a good day.

Designer Flora
One plant you'll see often, and particularly around taverns wishing to cater to tavern cats, is the Feather Duster.  It has long grass-type leaves, and develops a tall, feathery seed head which droops down from a particularly tall stem.  Cats are attracted to the toy-like seed heads, which are the perfect height for batting at.
