New users currently have no way to earn SG in huge amounts like that, so it remains in the hands of a few. By devalue I mean that hardly anyone was asking for SG in trades because everyone already had so much. It seems to be getting better, but I did see what it was like when everyone had a lot, and it kinda sucked cause you couldn't do anything with it.
