Laggy tablet pen?

In gimp when i start to draw my pen wants to lag a little bit, how do i stop that?

Its just in GIMP from what i can tell...

I think I've only had that happen when either I was on an older computer or when I had a lot of programs open - I think it's an issue with not enough memory or processing power.  Try rebooting and then close any and every other running program you can before opening GIMP and see if that helps.  Much luck!
