I want to download a PSD file friendly art program...

I'm so sick of not having photoshop. I'm convincing my mother that I can download -one- program that won't destroy our computer.

It needs to be free (or you need to point me to a free place to download it, no free trials please. I want the full thing)

Let me know what's good, or what I should and shouldn't download.

I can't download gimp. My computer I guess isn't the right version of windows TT.TT
But if you have any ideas, let me know please! Thanks!

I know Solistia had a full version of photoshop available that she sent to me and PM when we did the Luminaria, maybe you can ask her? She included shiny instructions how to download and install it as well.

As for free options, the most obvious is GIMP but you said that didn't work for you. I don't know of any other decent programs that are completely free, Paint Tool SAI is great but technically not free. But with a bit of searching you can download it for free, I managed to find a full non trial free version myself quite easily.

Thanks guys. If I could find a version of photoshop for free that'd be fantastic!
Last version I had was Photoshop CS4 extended I think, so anything around there would be better than amazing.
I'll take anything.

Alright, Solistia sent me the link to download paint tool sai. It's not photoshop, but I really like it So I'm good now, guys! Thanks for the help everyone!

I really do like Painttool SAI. It's a nice program that's light on your computer, and really good for drawing. It doesn't do fancy filters or graphics types things, but it's awesome for art :3
