Red Eye removal help <.<

Okay i have a picture I am helping edit for a friend of mine and normally red eye removal is a breeze but for this pic I just can't get it to work right. I don't want to post the pic here but if anyone is great at editing photos I could seriously use some help <.< its a photo from a phone that im trying to sharpen up and just make it look like a true camera took it.
