Printing Topics? o.o

I like seeing what everyone's doing cause I'm a nosy person, and lately I've been seeing guests printing out topics.....and it kinda is freaking me out o.o

O.O that's.. odd.. very odd.. PI spies maybe? rofl but then I don't see why they'd need to print things, just screen shot them hrm..

It could also be that they are trying to read things quickly, and the print view is much easier to do that.

I wouldn't find it that weird if it were registered users...but it's only been guests so why would they want to read it faster? o.O if they log in they'd have to click on the topics again

edit: it's been from all over the forums, I think the last one was hiyoko's game thread....though if I see it again I'll be sure to add it here

Yep, but it might not be for bad purposes 'cause I don't think that topic had any adopt pics they might've  wanted to steal or something. I'm not sure about that though 'cause sometimes this computer doesn't load pics for some reason   

So that leaves only one explanation....It's the FBI who are stalking Math  O.O

It's probably a bot that is sent to record certain topics based on key words, that's all. Every forum on the net has them.

Yup. They record key words to see what people talk about, and it all goes into internet marketing and advertising.

If you notice (it's more obvious in some forums than others, usually the free ones that are paid with lots of ads) certain words that are used a lot in the forum will start influencing the banner ads that pop up there. For example, forums that talk about anime a lot will start having anime advertisements.

Hmm. >.> Maybe that's an actual person doing market research and not a bot then. I don't think bots are quite advanced enough to switch to stealth mode when discovered. XD (Not yet anyway! 0_o )

Besides, if they are guests should they be able to make their actions unknown to everyone (Even mods or forum owners)? It seems safer to let you know what the unidentified people are doing so you can take precautions from, in this forum's case, things like art theft or other things.

the only time I've seen 'unknown action' otherwise is when I use the quicky edit...so dunno how the guests are doing it

also, the 'guest' printing this topic was Wolf's Fang, playing a prank on me >.> but she said it was only this topic, none of the others were done by her
