Note: Forum was built back when Howl's Island was going to be introduced on PI. It probably will not be used as much as it was originally planned. Inventories will still be kept on the forum, but most events and rp's will be held here on Secundi. You are welcome to post on the forum if you like, though.

Trivia Contest Results

Of the six entries, four had all the answers correct. The three randomly selected winners are as follows:

The moon overheard is full.

Howl paces in the center of the Darin Forest clearing, back and forth, back and forth in front of the Summoning Stone. His hackles are raised and his twin tails whip back and forth; the wolf god is worked up over something. But he's called a meeting of extreme urgency to all who would answer it, Islanders and Creators both, and so he waits for those to gather.

When the group is large enough, he deems, he comes to a stop and raises his head. His eyes like chips of amber scan the crowd.

"This is unacceptable," he rumbles, anger in his tone. "My Creator promised her assistance to my people, and yet for the passing of many moons we have heard nothing from your world. Every day I see fewer Islanders. I cannot keep quiet any longer!"

Howl falls silent a moment and closes is eyes to compose himself. Then he begins to speak...

So many moons have passed without the creation of new Islanders, Howl is ready to declare an island-wide emergency. He has devised a way to instantly create new Islanders using his own spiritual energy as the foundation.

Howl is ready to create new Islanders using the Summoning Stone and his magic, but he won't do it for just anyone. He wants you to prove you will care for your Islander and guide them. To prove your worth, post in this thread telling him you will take responsibility for your new Islander, and also post one other being you care for (one of your other adoptables, any type at all). This will show Howl you are willing to take care of others.

Choose your friend wisely, for Howl will use their energy as well as his own, so your new Islander will resemble them greatly.

You have until Sep 25 19:00 to bring one of your friends to show Howl.

Silvanon stands near the edge of the clearing.  After hearing Howl's message, she turns and looks intently at the forest behind her, seeming to search for something.  After a moment her expression of concentration clears, and she smiles.  "Korunda," she calls, "I think you'd be the best one to help out with this emergency.  Come and meet Howl with me!"

The Paint in question ghosts out of the trees, and the pair join the line waiting for their turn to meet Howl.

sera listens in concern to Howl's agitated speech; she can understand his frustration easily.  She pauses to think of who to bring herself.  The decision was virtually made on it's own; though she would have called Mishuen or Xol to meet Howl, someone else presented themselves first.


The Tsume/Gryvern moved forward cautiously, reaching out with his hands to verify the area was clear before he stepped.  Milovan smiled at sera, ears tilted back as he listened to be certain he wasn't about to be run into.

"You're leaking," he told her lightly.  

sera swiftly tightened her shields, smiling at the nearly blind hybrid.  "Welcome to Howl's Island, Milovan.  Would you care to meet Howl?"

"Gladly," the creature answered lightly.  

Together they made their way to the wolf god, waiting patiently until they could present themselves.  Milovan ducked his head in a bow, and sera inclined her own as well.  "Howl, please meet Milovan."

The hybrid murmured a soft disclaimer.

"I would love to take another Islander under my care," sera continued.  Milovan's ears came up with interest; he was obviously very interested in these Islanders.

*Standing at the edge of the clearing she frowns slightly and turns to look at her companion* "Are you sure you want to do this Odji?  You don't have to, we can find someone else.."  *she trails away as a browned hand reaches from the shadows and clasps her hand*  "It is for a good cause, do not fret I will be fine"  *So saying he gives a slight tug on her hand and pulls her forward into the clearing, coming to stop in front of Howl, his tail flexing and coiling in agitation behind him.  Turning her worried gaze from Odji she smiles a bit at Howl*  "Howl, this is my good friend Odji.  When I told my friends of the problem, he wanted to come and help."  *Taking a small step back, she watches the two quietly, chewing on her lip and worrying about her shy friend.*

((Not sure if this is allowed, being as he is partial humanoid.. but he is the first of my many adoptables that popped into my head, and when sifting through them all to try and make a second choice, he kept pushing his way into my thoughts.  So here he is lol  If need be, I'll pick a different one, but in case he was OK, I thought it was worth a try bringing him.))

Hiyoko takes two fingers and puts them in her mouth and blows. A sharp yet low sound is heard. Then a white horse with wings flies down to her. "I'd like to introduce my girl Michiko to Howl."

Zarzamora watches on with interest, resting a calming hand on the smooth coat of the Stallion Lethen'purith, his neck arched, nostrals flared as an expressive snort broke the silence of the forest. Calmed by the hand upon his crested neck he starts forward, at the encouraging tones of his carer. The pair move closer to the accumulating group, ready to help.

Springacres stood in the clearing, nodding as she listened with interest to Howl's words and turned them over in her mind.  Beside her, a beautiful Vanner mare grazed contentedly, her mind no further away than the next mouthful of grass.  Springacres turned, stroking the mare's glossy tan and white patched coat.  "What do you think, Glass?  This creature says he needs our help for his people.  Shall we help him?"

The mare lifted her head, acknowledging the human's presence and voice.  By way of response, she nudged Springacres' shoulder hard, so that the woman took an involuntary step forward.  A laughing whinny erupted from Glass' chest.  "Did you honestly think I would refuse?" she nickered, continuing to nudge Springacres forward until the pair of them stood before Howl, at which point Glass let the human do the talking.

"I would be honored to help care for an Islander, sir, and my friend The Parting Glass here says she too would be willing to help out."

Howl retreats to the Summoning Stone, and white magic flares around the ancient structure. In no particular order, five Islanders coalesce in the light and come forward.




"They tell me they are not named, for they are not exact duplicates of your companions. You are free to give them the same or a new name," Howl rumbles. He pauses to catch his breath and rest before performing his next feat.

*looks up from her book and admires Howl's work*  Oh, those are some very nice looking Islanders!  Congrats guys, on your new friends :)
