Oh my gosh I LOVE Nightmare Before Christmas!! It is one of my favorite films and a must watch at Christmas and Halloween.

Though I love many of the characters, and I really had to ponder this, I would have to say that my favs are Shock, Lock, and Barrel. Sorry I couldn't pick just one but this trio is a match set in my mind.


Reason 1: They are HYSTERICAL. Seriously, what would this movie be without them. And kidnap the sandy claws is one of my favorite songs.

Reason 2: I feel they really represent a sinister childlike innocence. They follow their boss with loyalty and they are so small and cute and EVIL. They are so mischevious. I would never want them as younger siblings but MAN they would be fun to watch.

Reason 3: Names are full of win.

The Nightmare Before Christmas *O* <3 Forgive me if this gets to be a long story. I've got a history with this movie XD

My favorite character would absolutely have to be Jack. You see, this movie came out when I was a little girl, and back then everyone thought it would be too scary for me to see, with the exception of my parents who are pretty open minded people. My grandmother bought me the movie anyway and sent it to me as a present with many other gifts.

I watched it for the first time, and well, I completely fell in love with Jack >< I had a total childhood crush on him and watched the movie every day.  I still like him a lot, he's such a romantic character in his own way, and incredibly gentle and kind hearted for all that he's the king of the darker side of the holiday calendar, something you really wouldn't expect from, well, a skeleton XD I just loved his personality as a kid and the fact that he could make me laugh, and I still do. He's one of those characters that has just grown with me, and that I'll always look back on fondly.

Marsha's Homemade Buckeyes from Cracker Barrel!  Whenever my family went to visit my grandparents in the summer cabin they built in Tennessee, we'd stop at Cracker Barrel on the two-hour drive from Nashville.  These candies were always popular.  When my Grandpa died, since I was going to school on the east coast and my family is in California, I drove to Cracker Barrel and relived some memories and at the end bought some Buckeyes and mailed them home to my family.  I always make a point of stopping at Cracker Barrel and buying buckeyes whenever I take a road trip, alone or with friends!

I'll have everything updated in an hour, when I have my official break, but I just wanted to let everyone know. Wild made an opsie on the gender of the snakes. XD
The genders are supposed to be reversed. SO Jack and Sally will be special(I REALLY dont want to re-color them), but the other snakes will have their genders swapped.

I had been wondering about that actually XD Good to know! I think the poses make more sense this way ^^ I know in reality the females are usually larger so maybe it's not accurate to switch them around, but the resting pose seemed much more feminine to me than the moving one.

Yeah. I was just a dork and didn't pay attention to the face. XD I was looking at the pose going 'okay this ones raised, male'. Then willow pointed out why they are reversed, so boom, snakes are all fixed to the correct genders!
