Rosedawn

Owner: Rosedawn
Song: Let it go (going with a non traditional route, but this film has become our new favorite Christmas movie)
Short Excerpt of song that inspires:
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in; Heaven knows I've tried

Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good girl you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well now they know

Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back any more
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door
I don't care
What they're going to say
Let the storm rage on, the cold never bothered me anyway

Your Siren's Story: She always thought she had to be perfect. be engaging, be charming, be witty, be beautiful, smile but not too much, speak but only in order to make those around you feel important. It was the expectation that this siren would marry, marry well, and by doing so help her family in going up in the social world.

She tried to keep it in, heaven's knows she did. Her parents never listened to her, they never saw what she truly wanted. And one winter night, they introduced her to the siren she was to marry....

She couldn't keep it in any longer. The girl swam away from home, swam away from the family that expected this perfect porcelain doll, north, until she found herself in the freezing cold waters. The girl surfaced. There was little fear of running into humans here. And above her shown the beautiful lights in the northern sky, awake and alive, and free. She may be alone (for now) but she's finally free.

Colors you like: Icy blue and white

Riverwind

SkySong

The Siren's Carol
Owner: SkySong
Song: Carol of the Bells
Short Excerpt of song that inspires:
One seems to hear words of good cheer
From everywhere, filling the air
Oh!, how they pound, raising the sound
O'er hill and dale, telling their tale

Gaily they ring, while people sing
Songs of good cheer, Christmas is here!

Your Siren's Story:
Up north, there is a little port town. As winter sets in, so does the ice, and the town prepares each year for a dark and unforgiving winter. They are separated by snow and ice and mountains from the nearby villages. However, each winter season, a ship finds its way out to the little town. On its side, printed in faded red and gold, one might find its name. She is called Christmas. The captain is the only one foolhardy enough to make the trip each year, but each winter the ship's bell can be heard tolling as it nears port. It became a tradition of the townspeople to sing a carol for the bell as the ship docks, for it brings much needed supplies and gifts, raising the moral and cheer of the town with its stay.
Colors you like: Red, orange, dark blue, silver

I'm not sure if that counts as I don't directly incorporate siren, but it's more of how the siren living in the area would have heard the song and the meaning behind it.
