The Lost Elenaria


Elenaria are beautiful equines that have been sung down from the stars to grace us with their presence, beauty, and magic. But not all stars make it to their destination. Some fall and get lost into the wilderness.

These forgotten Elenaria are often hunted by poachers. With no herd to protect them, and disoriented from their arrival, they do not have the necessary skills to survive a willy hunter. Their horns can be used for magical healing...fairy wings are a wondrous powerful magic ingredient for spells and magical items...demon blood has been used in all manner of hexes and curses.

Four Elenaria have been spotted wandering the isles alone, but rumors of 2 more linger in the air. Will you be the one to find them before the hunters?

Elenaria that have been spotted and verified....2 fairy females have been verified in the woods, very skittish as if they have already had a few near misses:

The 2 unicorns have had many rumors about them, but have never been seen fully. All anyone knows is that they are gray with some kind of white marking. Perhaps when they are caught their looks can finally be solidified (winners of the unicorns will get to choose 1 white marking to add to their unicorn)

There have been signs of Elenaria in other regions as well, but no one has spotted these or been able to verify anything other than activity. Perhaps it is just a myth after all?

There will be 3-4 maps of regions where Elenaria have been spotted. You will have to race against the hunters to gain their trust in order to bring them home. You will not know which Elenaria are in the different regions until you find them in the grid.

You will get to pick a space once every 12 hours.

There will be other prizes to gain as well!

finding the Elenaria is not a guarantee that you will manage to bring that Elenaria home! These babies are skittish and leery of humans who are trying to catch them for terrible reasons. It will take a warm heart and a bit of luck to manage to convince the Elenaria you are worthy of them.

When you find an Elenaria in the grid they will make a D50 roll to see how open they are to the idea of finally trusting someone. The person who found them will then get the chance to make a D50 roll. If they roll higher than the Elenaria then they will have successfully convinced the Elenaria of their worth! If not the Elenaria will dive BACK into the wilderness to be found once more.

If the Elenaria escapes they can return to ANY SPOT ON THE GRID even those that have already been searched.

Sunchaser as you are carefully treading through the trees you notice that you have wandered into a field of Clover. Recalling that some Elenaria crave clover during their duets you decide to take some home with you just incase.


D.eirdre though you think you hear something you spin around and see nothing.


Kahlira the trees are wonderfully peaceful. So peacful in fact that you find yourself lulled into an afternoon nap! Lose your next turn. =(


Saturnalia you decide to stick close to the path, not yet wanting to venture into the deep forest. Sadly there doesn't seem to be anything nearby.

Skysong as you push through the pushes you hear something. Looking up you catch the briefest glimpse of stained glass light...as if it was filtering through a gossamer wing. You race off to try and catch up! Gain an extra guess this round!

Neocridders the birds are singing beautifully around you, but sadly nothing else is going on.

Country, you hear something from around a tree. Glancing around you see 3 hunters talking. One spots you, shouts, and they chase you until you lose them in J4. There is nothing there, but at least you got away from those hunters!

Lectral you hear some skittering through the trees and you follow it only to find a bunny burrow! Adorable but not what you were looking for.

Nakoyou find boot prints and a snuffed out fire. Looks like you are not alone in the woods. Hunters may be nearby. Move with caution.

Country you hear a buzzing sound and decide not to venture any further....didn't sound like an Elenarai anyhow!


Ryuu you are walking along and you trip on a root! Tumbling down a hill you end up in H3. PHEW, at least you aren't hurt!


Lectral as you are strolling through the woods something falls out of a tree and whaps you on the head. It's a Golden Apple! Which is great...except now you have a bruise ow!

Country you were about to put your foot down when your eyes happened to glance down to see you were about to step on a Dandelion. You stop yourself and pack it away.


Neocridders this seems like it's going to take awhile....you think you probably should hvae brought more snacks.


Ryuu you hear a bunch of shouting and decide to avoid that direction and ram straight into a hunter! Roll a [*roll]1d20[/roll] to see if you successfully run away without getting lost in the woods! You must defeat a 12! If you do not roll higher than a 12 then you get lost in the woods for a turn and have to regain your bearings.


Skysong lovely day, but sadly nothing of interest around you!


Lectral you wander around until you see something that looks like...is that a fairy ring? Feeling brave you step inside and are transported to B4. That was awesome! There's nothing there but it was pretty darn cool!


Riverwind you manage to narrowly avoid a hunting trap! You take a minute to dismantle it before continuing on your way.


Sunchaser you think your Elenaria would really love to come back out here for a nice day to play. Because you are musing you really don't see anything.


Saturnalia you were listening to the birds and singing along softly when something catches the corner of your eye. You turn slowly and are momentarily blinded by the rainbow of colors dancing on gossamer wings. You take a breath in wonderment as a beautiful fairy Elenaria stands before you.

Ok, so I THINK I'm following these. I had an extra turn, then I lost a turn, but that should even me out? So I have a morning and evening roll right now. (Now, and 12 hours from now, I think?) The third statement confuses me a wee bit.

The extra turn can be taken at any time Nako so going from your last real turn, 12 hours from that would hvae been 8AM which you lost, and so 12 hours from that lose is 8PM.

(Also, might I suggest searching an open square? The fairy that could habe been hidden anywhere on the map was found by Kahlira in B1 and so you know A2 has already been searched and there will be nothing to find there.)

Deirdre F1 You hear something crunching on something. When you look behind a tree you find a deer munching on a big bushel of apples. It seems the deer has taken a single bite out of all of them, accept one pristine Green Apple, which you take.

He slows in last square and whickers. You see a flash of gray and the hint of this beautiful flea bitten gray!
