Title: Cross Stitch evolving!
Post by: Ryuukokoro on July 02, 2013, 05:31:20 PM
After a late night staying up embroidering frantically, I finally finished my step-mom's birthday present at 2am. XD It always takes longer than you think it will! I've been working on this since the middle of May... While it's a very relaxing pasttime, it feels so satisfying to finally finish a project! So here's some photos by proud me!

Starting out with the first few colors...

Almost finished, just need the outline!

And last but not least, totally outlined and done.

Looks fantastic! Did you choose the image yourself, or is it done on a template? I've never tried cross stitch, but it does look like an interesting hobby.

Thanks guys! ^_^ I used a pre-made pattern I bought in a craft store. My step-mom loves horses, so I knew she would like it.

I recently found a free program online that will turn any image I upload to it into a cross stitch pattern I can follow, so now I can do my own images! :D Neat!

Lovely! I have PixelHobby myself (http://www.pixelhobby-usa.com/) so I defenitely understand the time and patience that goes into such crafts! It's always really fun to see the image come to life, because when you're first starting it totally doesn't look like it's gonna resemble the end result at all :P
