Now, for those people relatively new to Faes, the secret of this event was elements

I find this thing is thus far the best at explaining elements (yes, it's their calendar, stop snickering at me). Each element is strongest in a particular type of Fae. Faes trace their heritage back to pure elementals that were of these types, dualhorn waters, unicorn fires, etc. The stronger they are to that heritage by type, color, markings, etc tends to raise Purity, which is directly related to their Elemental strength.

Yes it is, especially if you roleplay powers.

Now! Mental (M) stat tends to be highest in very smart Faes, particularly ones with unicorn horns, apparently the horn is some sort of channeling device for mental powers. Garney is no scientist, she hasn't figured all of this out XD

A Fae's mental strength moderates their ability to -control- their powers. Elemental strength + mental control and you have the basic idea of how useful their powers would be in a fight (or some whacky tournament).

Shifting is completely separate and has to do with the anthro versions *see icon for pretty anthro types*

Mel in all his Void-y glory would seem to be of the uber pretty winged tricorn variety, but every time I try to tell him this, he goes off on a breathless rant in my head: "omg I am NOT one of those first of all wings get in the way of everything and omg I am not having HORNS coming out of my head do you knowhowoftentheywouldgetcaughtonthingsand--"

So then I tune him out and forget trying to design his look.
