Read the eventing information for help with assigning your stat points when it's time.

Find a Mate, for SC's.  You know the drill, pick one of your SC's and post a link to him/her here with a "brief" personnel's type ad.  You can write the ad from your perspective, or from your SC's perspective.  (remember, SC's are highly intelligent and telepathic, so they are quite capable of dictating to you what to write for them!)  Keep the ad brief, and do not try to use it to order full blown customs.  "looking for a painted lady" for example would be acceptable, while "looking for a black tabiano lady with a bald face" would not be acceptable.  You can list more then one thing you like, just don't expect to see it all.

• Claim Forms must be filled out completely and properly or your claim will be ignored.  Yes, you do have to name it and assign stats right now.
• No editing posts, if you make a mistake then re-post.  This is the only fair way, since this is a first come first served sort of thing.
• You may claim more then one SC, but you must wait 6 hours between each of your claims.
• After posting your form, send payment immediately to the SGA account.  List the CODE of the SC you are claiming in the transaction notes.  If you are using a discount coupon then list the CODE + "with Coupon" in the transaction notes.  Any funds coming in without the code listed will be canceled and you run the chance of losing your claim; so be sure you list the code in the transaction!
• Pay attention to how many stats you are allowed to assign.  Most SC's have 5, but if the SC has a bridle on then you could have anywhere from 6 to 9 depending on the die roll.  So make sure you check and assign all your available stats. If you don;t assign your proper number of stats (assign too few, or too many) then your claim form will be considered improperly filled out and be invalid.

Ahem!  This is a special mare.  Aside form the fact she took me close to 48 hours to figure out how the heck to color right.. she is, as the sign says our 200th SC released.  She also comes with extra training.  Most starter SC's come with 20 pre-assigned stat points, plus 5 points you get to assign.  This girl comes with 25 pre-assigned points, and you still get 5 to assign where you please.

There may be others in the future with extra starting stats, we'll see.  The trainers worked quite long hours with this girl, and they are all exhausted.  They have been working to try and find a way to "safely" train the SC's more before homing them.  This is the first success.

It has been, just way too long since I did these.  You can tell, cause first I opened the wrong file and started coloring without realizing it wasn't the templated file..  And I kept wondering WTF man? what happened to all my layers??  Halfway through YLO's girl I realized "doh! wrong file!" But by then no way I was starting over, so I just finished lol I hope I managed to get all the stray pixels cleaned up, if you notice any, poke me so I can clean it up more.  *feels a wee bit silly*  Oh well, now that I have the right file open, the others should (hopefully) not take nearly as long rofl  AND I got a colorist awake, so yay!

The first time I actively attempted smokey black.  It looks more brown to me, but the pic I used as reference looks brown too.. *scratches head*  I colored on two layers, the bottom was black, the top was a cream, which I then lowered the opacity on and used overlay a bit.  If anyone has any advice for how to do this in a better way, please do speak up.  I'm happy to learn more/better ways when possible.

meh had a frustrating unproductive day today, then lay down for a "nap" which wound up lasting from around 1pm to now (830 pm).  Hrrr sorry about that, I did NOT expect to sleep so freaking long.  On the plus side, I shouldn't feel the need to sleep again for a while rofl  I hope anyway..  Soo gonna switch accounts, update lists, finish getting woke the heck up, and then start coloring.

My sis had made me some little rp blurbs the other day, like about half a dozen, but somewhere in trying to find tax info today I lost it.  So if you guys don;t mind, you're gonna just get the SC's, no rp blurbs.  It will help me to get them to you just that little bit faster.

A truck pulls into the yard pulling a huge horse trailer behind it, a big burly man gets out and walks to the back carrying a clip board.  Opening the doors he looks down at the clip board says "hmm now let's see.. who gets paired with who?" As he's looking at his notes, five SC's trail out of the back and look around, spotting the people waiting by the fence, they each walk off to greet their new companions.  The last mare out gently bumping her head against the man's shoulder to gain his attention. "thank you for the ride, we've got it from here!" she thinks to him, before trotting over to meet her new friend.  The man blinks startled and drops his pencil, turns to watch the SC's move off without his help and sighs shaking his head "I'll never get used to that!"  Picking up his pencil he tucks it into his pocket and hollers over to the people "that's it for this one folks, I'll be back with more in a while." then he climbs back in his truck and pulls away.

hehee!  Yup, I toss random items in thread now and again too, for whoever is around.  Whoever posts to grab em first gets em.  It's just a lil reward kinda thing, for being an active stalker/participant in my adopt.  And a side benefit, I found (on PI anyway) that it served as a nice lure to keep people checking the thread themselves, so I didn't have to send out a notice every time I updated lol

Annd I suck at brindle, but would be happy to atleast try.  You might be able to talk one of the other colorists into doing brindle also.  I think Lost said she is looking for unusual coat markings to practice with.  And Goddesss could probably (IMO) do a brindle beautifully.  I'm not sure if she has the time atm though, you'd have to ask whenever you get a custom scroll.

As for Zebra, all I can say is wait until I get around to releasing the animal mimics (which I am extremely late on doing, due to my brain completely shutting down every time I try to set up the rp for it..). 

Anyway!  SC's are branching out to cover animal mimics.  The downside is you cannot order them as a custom.  All animal mimics will come as pre-mades and be homed in events where everyone is welcome to join.

There is a thread in Help Booths addressing animal mimics (and off colored horses) a bit more.  There is also instructions there for how to go about making suggestions for what animals you would like to see mimic'd (So far, only one person sent a suggestion in).  Just keep in mind, that just because you suggest it, doesn't mean you will be the one to end up with it once it is finished if we make it.

Sunny, if you mean regular horse mimics, those are opened from time to time as freebies.  And also, with a full custom, you can get a mimic of a regular horse.  If however you mean opening customs for animal mimics.. I don't see that ever becoming an option.

So, I am not liking some of my classes this semester.  No surprise there.  I also dislike most of my instructors.  Again, no big surprise.  But.. a couple of them are just flat driving me crazy!  Seriously, if I had my ACA instructor in front of me I'd punch her in the face.  And that is not an exaggeration.  (Oddly enough, she seems to really like me.. o.O  )

Now first off i actually liked this teacher for the most part except for one day that i guess she had a bad day and she really ticked me off.

So we will call her K. Cause i dont want to use her real name cause she is a sweet heart we just had a bad day.

It was 9th or 10th grade i cant remeber cause i hda her two years. Well at the time i was raising a guide dog. so i had come in a bit late and when i got there, there was only really one spot to sit at and the table was small and the person sitting there was the guy i had a crush on who sometimes i got along with sometimes didnt. I didnt want to bother him that day so i sat on a chair, and pulled another chair up to be my desk. Had the dog sit under the chairs like he is supposed to and all was good.

Well she starts a lecture and Chris the guy i had a crush on, motioned me over to sit with him. Well we had to take notes during this lecture and i was bent over a chair. I nod to him, not making noise and whatever hand the puppy to him, since he had been a friend mostly and i had taught most of my friends teh basics of guide dog puppy raising. So he took the dog and i start to move my stuff. Im quiet but this is a small room. She ends up saying no you have to stay where your are. I was like im just moving so i can take my notes properly and she is like No stay there. I said im already moved its fine. She said wait for me outside. I roll my eyes make sure the dog is okay with chris and go to wait outside. I wait about 20 minutes and nothing. I go inside and im fuming. She looks up from talking to a student and said oops forgot you where out there. Wait for me ill be there in a moment. I go back out and wait 10 minutes. Nothing. I got pissed off go in and grab my stuff. I wasnt going to wait for her to come in when she was basicly ignoring me. She had forgotton i was out there agian. I go out and she follows this time and basicly we get in a screaming match. I go down to where i could call my rents or go to my car(cant rember which it was at the time) and who should be at the front desk but my mom and my sister...

I dont remeber why they where there but they basicly got to see teh whole shouting match and me calling the teacher a Beach <.< So was not a good day lol

When I was in the 7th grade, I had a teacher, Mr. Reynolds. He thought he was REALLY REALLY funny and would constantly tell the worst jokes. Most of which were sexist, or just plain nasty.
The students would laugh at his jokes because if they didn't, he'd get angry.
Once he told a joke and I just ignored it, he came up and was standing, touching my desk and said "you're not laughing?" I said "no, I'm not" he said "you didn't like my joke?" I said "no, I didn't" he said "why didn't you like my joke?" I said "because your joke is stupid".
He demanded I leave the room. I refused and he started screaming at me, even swearing at me.  I still refused to leave.
He eventually resorted to dragging me out of the room by my shirt, because he couldn't physically touch ME, so he grabbed my shirt and dragged me. When he grabbed my shirt, I wrapped my legs around the legs of the chair and hung on, so the chair came with me. He dumped me in the hall, then went in, grabbed my things, threw them out the door and slammed the door.

I reported him to the principal, but nothing was done.

Does writing about your principal instead of a teacher count too? If not I have a story about a teacher too but I would like to PM that as I would rather not share it on a public forum where everyone can read even if they aren't part of secundi.

So.. the principal story. I am bisexual. I always know I have been. Not a lot of people knew as I don't really get along with girls in general so although I saw some around that were gorgeous, I never really found one I liked enough personality wise. Until that changed. My very first girlfriend was a friendship that grew stronger and eventually ended up to be quite a long lasting relationship. I am very affectionate in a relationship and I don't see why I would be different with a girl than with a boy, so we were very close. It was a public school, not a religious one, but we were aware that some people probably didn't like seeing us. We cuddled and we held hands in the hallway, but we tried to only kiss in private. People were following is us around making mean comments and just not leaving us alone. It was annoying, but we were happy. One day the principal calls us into his office. We think he noticed what was going on and wanted to talk to us about the way some of the other students were acting towards us. Instead the man tells us we are disgusting and treatens to expell us if he sees us holding hands one more time. A lesbian relationship went against his own faith, despite him being principal of a public school he was Christian himself (I know not all Christians think gay people are wrong, but he did think so) and was abusing his power by letting his personal opinion get the best of him. Luckily it was near the end of the schoolyear and we were both transferring to another school even before we got together, so we never did get expelled (which would be so illegal by the way), but that man pissed me off so much. I know not everyone accepts our type of relationship or even our feelings, but that didn't give him the right to do and say what he did. I can't change if someone won't accept it, I will respect everyone's opinion, but the way he acted on it was just so wrong.

This happened yesterday.

Mr. Daughtry, my Honors Eath Science teacher had us learning about the scientific method. He had tryed a new way of giving us our tests last sem., and decided he liked it. So he gave us a test online, and made us take it over the weekend, giving us till 8pm sunday to take it. That didn't make me too happy, cuz, its my weekend. Well, anyway, I went home and checked for the the test. No test. he haden't put it put yet. I went back every hour that day to see if it was there. No test. The same thing on Saturday. On Sunday, before I left for church, I checked. Still no test. I was to the point I really wanted to scream and hit something by then. I came home from church, took a nap, and went to my boy friends for dinner. When I got back home, I cheacked (it was around 9) and the test still had not shown up, it wasn't even in the expired test sectipn. I was so mad. I had dreams that night of me strangleing him. Now, don't get me wrong, he is a great teacher, just kind of crazy sometimes. Any way, I go to school and have a talk with him, and make him let me take it (the whole class had to) and I made a 90, only missing 1 out of 10.

So, took my tests, then lay back down to rest my eyes.  And only just waking back up again *twitches*  I seem to have fallen in love with sleeping heh

And wow, some of those are really quite bad.  Kinda puts my annoyance with my own instructor in perspective.  It's my Study skills teacher that's driving me the craziest.  First off, the class is called Study Skills, and so far, it hasn't taught me anything about studying.  The teacher, and even the course text book, seems to be entirely about opening up top people and changing my "attitude" towards college.  I didn't actually have an attitude towards college, before taking this class.  Now I have a big one lol  Anyway, I hadn't wanted the class to begin with but it's mandatory.  So I tried to find the silver lining, and figured well I have trouble retaining stuff, maybe this class will somehow help with that.  Yea, so far.. not much.  The absolute worst of the class though, is the weekly discussion board posts.  She gives us a question, or a series of questions, that we have to answer and post in a public forum where the entire class can see (and respond to) your post.  This wouldn't be bad, except she keeps asking questions to force us to write about personal aspects of ourselves/our lives.  This is somethign I flat refuse to do, as my personal life is none of the classes (or even the teachers) business.  I've told her I'm a private person, and don't want my personal business out there for a bunch of strangers to read.  But she's all about "broadening your comfort zones" and crap.  My current assignment, is to fill in a chart.  Every hour of the day, for 7 days, I am supposed to key in what I did, thought, and felt for that hour.  No hour can read exactly the same, even if you did the same thing, you have to word it differently, or say what you were thinking about, something.  She says doing this will help me understand how I spend my time.  I already KNOW how I spend my time.  And if it was just for my benefit, then I wouldn't be required to give it to her afterward.  What does she need to know what I am doing all this time for?  And how the heck will spreading my personal life open like a book for her and the class's perusal help me learn better study habits?  It's all BS and I;m going to end up failing the stupid class just because I don;t want to let a bunch of strangers poke around in my private life.

Right!  We are still waiting on certing info from 2 people.  I've been in contact with BKC and I know why she hasn't been back to the thread.  As for Neo, I PM'd her on the 9th and still haven't heard anything back from her, even though I have seen her online.  I know she's importing Gryphions so is a lil busy, so I'm just going to assume/pretend that this is why she hasn't been back, and hasn't answered my PM.

But!  I don't want to make you all wait any longer for #200 so.. in a little while when I finish waking up, I'm going to drop a couple SC's into the thread.  They will go home with the first person to post complete certing and stat info for them.  One per person though, so we'll need 2 different people to pop into thread to claim.

Ahem!  This is a special mare.  Aside form the fact she took me close to 48 hours to figure out how the heck to color right.. she is, as the sign says our 200th SC released.  She also comes with extra training.  Most starter SC's come with 20 pre-assigned stat points, plus 5 points you get to assign.  This girl comes with 25 pre-assigned points, and you still get 5 to assign where you please.

There may be others in the future with extra starting stats, we'll see.  The trainers worked quite long hours with this girl, and they are all exhausted.  They have been working to try and find a way to "safely" train the SC's more before homing them.  This is the first success.

Sunny.. if all forms posted are correct, and all fee transactions are correct, then that makes a total of 15 claimed.  There are 22 total SC's, so some should be left.  I haven't checked the new claim posts yet however, I was doing school work and am just now getting to certing the first round of claims.  Then I'll check the new claims and update the flatsale post.

YLO Customs thread will re-open when I get caught up on a few things.  I don't want to open too many things at once, as it leaves people waiting too long for stuff.  I'm looking at it re-opining this weekend if I can manage to stick to my time schedule for catching things up.  I'll open it sooner if I manage to work faster though.

The apples are treats for SC's.  They can be used one of two ways.  I'll explain more about that in a lil bit, I wanna get these SC's sorted before my headache decides to worsen.

Just a heads up, I've decided to wait to cert/card flatsales until the rest sell, since they seem to be going pretty fast anyway.  This way I can just go in order and it will make doing them a heap faster and less confusing.

Apple is in your folder YLO.

Apples.. Apples can be used in 2 ways currently.  The first is a sort of game.  I ran it on PI< can;t remember if I ran it here yet.  Probably not, as we had so few followers here.  But basically you gather round the apple tree, and take turns trying to get apples form the tree.. without touching the tree with your hands.  During the game, there will be some SC's milling about.  If you manage to get an apple form the tree, then you can choose to have it placed in your inventory for later, or you can offer it to one of the SC's that are present at that time.  The SC you offer it to may then decide if it wants the apple or not.  If it accepts your apple, then you get to keep the SC.  If it declines the offer of your apple, then you get to keep your apple and either try again with a different SC, or put it in your inventory.

SC's may decline apples for a variety of reason's, from simply not being hungry, to disliking that apple type.  It's very important during the game to pay close attention to the reason an SC declines your (or someone elses) apple.  Because this can give you clues to what they want.  If one simply is not hungry at that time, then you or someone else can try the same apple later if you like.  but if say, a stallion says he doesn't like sour things, then you (and everyone watching) knows not to offer him granny smith and crab apples.

When trying to get apples form the tree, if one does fall, then again you still have a chance to miss it or catch it.  If you miss it, then it is a "loose" apple, and anyone in thread can post to "grab" it.  Whoever posts to grab it first (in the correct phrase and/or format) will get it.  If you drop it, you can still try to grab it when its loose.

The second way to use apples, is to turn them in (one apple per SC) for SC's from the prize pool.  (there are 2 different prize pools, and you would need to use the Secundi one).  There is a form to fill out when claiming form the prize pool.  At this time prize pool claiming isn;t open.  But once it does open, you just post the form correctly filled out, and you get your SC.  No coin toss to see if the SC accepts, just an automatic trade.  (Like the Painted Unicorns roses to claim premades).

Oh, and whenever the Game is active, then regular prize pool claiming won;t be allowed.  It just gets too confusing.

Oh, prize pool claiming won;t re-open until I clean up files.  I'm having to dump some SC's from my PB account because I cannot locate the corresponding images on my PC.  Others I have to dump because I can't remember/find info on who colored them.  Still others have already been claimed and never certed for various reasons.  It's driving me nuts honestly.  But yea, what that all means is that any SC's you see sitting looking unowned/unclaimed, may not actually be available :S   Maybe I should hire a staff person just to manage records of this stuff -.-

I've thought about it a few times, and quite a bit lately actually.  But I'm just so control-freakish, that I've not been able to bring myself to do it yet.  Like with the RP thingy, I really wanna let someone else run it.  but.. I want it done a certain way, a certain story theme whatever, and I know exactly how I want it done.  But.. I've tried explaining it to a couple others, and I just can;t seem to put my ideas/wants into coherent understandable words.  So.. I just keep putting rp off longer and longer, as other things that are more important and less involving get done.

OK, I'm going to go try and get the rest of my work for this class done while my headache is finally held at bay, and before I pass out.  Pondering what to do next after flatsales.  I have a beautiful love pair Losty colored that are going to be auctioned off.  (no love pair certs though sorry).  And I have a ton of other SC's pre-colored that never had anythign done with.. pus all the PI crap that now will have to be rotated over to Secundi.  Annnd.. I even have some SC's from Christmas.. before last? that are waiting on homes heh

Skysong..  kMh was indeed available to claim, but it looks like she was not suposed to be there.  I'm going to have to remove that image and replace it with a differant one.  You can claim the new image, or you can claim one of the other unclaimed flatsales. kMb and kSb I believe are still unclaimed. Just repost form, cos you need to follow proper claiming format.

Please!  Everyone check your owners folders and make sure that 1. the link from the SGA website takes you to your folder and not someplace else and 2. that your SC's are all in your folder, with their stat cards, that they are certed properly, and that no mistakes are made on the stat cards.  Seriously, I'm being distracted by the bf the entire time I certed, carded and uploaded.  And I already somehow managed to dump 6 peoples SC's into Alnaeyah's folder when I created it for her and had to pull them back out.  So.. yea, check your folders!

Breeding frankly terrifies me.  I envision breedings coming in, and me looking at them, and scratching my head and wondering "now what would a foal of these two look like?" and I dunno jack about genetics (and don't care to learn) so I'd prolly be staring at the same darn breeding pair for days lol  And then I fear the outcome, fear people being dissatisfied because the foal didn't come out as they expected/think it should look..

Meh The irony of this is, I don't usually give a flip what people think.  But somehow when it comes to my adopt, I can't seem to stop wondering and worrying and stressing -.-

But yes, breedings is on my seemingly endless "to do" list.  I just have to figure out how I'm gonna manage them.  I really would like to hire breedings out to another colorist entirely, but I'm not sure what to offer as payment considering for each foal they have to color the grown version as well as the foal..

My Jaeman Prophecy adoptable has both natural and fantasy colorations. Quite a few are real life horse coats, but even though they are realistically colored that doesn't mean they have a realistic breeding system. I usually just a color in between parents or from one of them and then some markings. So for a chestnut paint and a black roan I might do a brown roan with a bit of white paint somewhere on it. Or even as simple as swapping base colors and markings.. So one foal a chestnut roan and one a black paint. Chestnut + black might not likely produce brown in real life, but it doesn't have to be realistic genetically I think. If your adoptable doesn't do that, then that is fine. Just something that is a combination of both parents or takes after one would be fine I think. For my own adoptable I might even do chestnut body with black mane/tail, but I think SCs have to be realistic horse coloration? So no chestnut with black mane then xD

I think for breeding you could just pick something like the parents that would also be possible in a RL horse. So for example a black crossed with a white, or pale grey could produce white, any realistic shade of grey or black. And markings like paint or roan could pass randomly. It wouldn't have to be like RL breeding to still produce a realistic looking foal.

hrm.. Maye.. I may try a small TINY breeding event, when I get school stuff caught up  It would be extremely limited mind you.  Just a test run I guess.  I'll see how I feel after school stuff is caught up.

Also, I just thought of something.  There was never any method set out to record blood lines, because it isn't somethign that matters for SC's.  (mostly cause yea, I'm a lazy git).  But If the day ever come that we become an agency, I'll need to know blood lines to enter things properly into secundi system yea?  So hrm.. I really don;t want to try adding more crap on the certs though..

And no entries in scavenger hunt yet.  hmm no one likes scavenger hunts, or it's too hard? lol  *wonders if that stuff can even be found*  I didn't look myself mind you, I just tossed random crap out of my head before running out the door lol

I do like scavenger hunts, i was just too busy before to start looking for that stuff.

Oh and, FYI.. when I say realistic horse colors and markings, it means only colors that naturally occur, only markings that naturally occur (or naturally occurring markings I try to make and screw up XD *looks at Ripple* ).  It doesn't necessarily mean the colors and markings have to be found naturally together.  That was done mainly so I wouldn't have people requesting purple bodied horses with magenta manes and green sparkles lol

And with the introduction of off colored SC's, it gives even more leeway there.  So breeding I guess could be another way you could get a hold of an off colored SC.  So maybe a foal is born with tan paint instead of white paint or something *shrug*  You can;t order off coloreds in normal customs, but yea.. so breeding could be another way to get them I guess?

And if you don't care about inbreeding and pedigrees you can just import every SC, including ones from breedings, as first gen so they don't have a pedigree :)

hmm well, I know some people care about it.  And I could do like I did with events on PI and make a "false" breeding.  So we could test run breeding, but not with you all's SC's, that way the foals aren't related..


And Lost has said she wouldn't mind doing breedings, as long as it's not a ton lol  So yay for that, I like her coloring so much better then my own lol

I think the people who really want to avoid inbreeding will keep track. Just like I keep track of my Garden Noms so I don't inbreed, even though they have no pedigree available.
