This is a gifting event, with a signup. I need to figure out how many gifts I need. Please let me save a few posts

I will post a list which will be the order you pick in, when everyone picks, I will post a new list. This will happen 5 times with everyone. That way the same person does not get to pick first, and the same one does not have to pick last

- You do not have to sign up to be gifted to
- You can not claim a gift for yourself
- No whining (it makes PM sad)
- I will not tolerate blatant attempts to make others feel bad
- Signups close on the end date at the end time, no extensions if you missed it

I second this. I definantly don't plan to collect all different breeds, and I know some others are the same way, so a wishlist would definantly help gifters and giftees. :)

I like the idea of a wishlist! I also have breeds I don't plan to collect, and I would hate to give someone a gift they might not appreciate :)
Glad other people like the idea. I think it would be especially helpful to know what breeds people are interested in, maybe also if there are any colors/patterns they really dislike (or like).
I think the breeds is a very informative idea. I guess either I'm not picky though, or I like all the colors cause I can't think of anything I don't like. And I'll be just as glad to get things I'm not CRAZY keen on, because people put together some really gorgeous pairs and I never have anything to trade lol, but fall in love so often.

I figured it might help with coloring too to see what breeds and colors are favored, but if you for example just wanna color 5 of each breed then of course it does not matter :P
I'm sure we can trade them if we don't end up liking what we got. A bunch of them have been colored already anyway, so to go by what people want and possibly start all over again seems like much more work than a person can handle. Let's make it easier on PM, especially since she's been so great to have an event for us at all. The holidays are more about the thought that counts after all. :)
Exactly. And PM does great on her own. What she already has is ADORABLE AND AMAZING.
I think the breeds will be informative after the signups in case people think 'Oh well I don't know (insert user) very well but its Christmas and random gift giving is awesome. They really like X breed so I'll give them that!'

I didn't mean to change ho wmany of each breed or color PM does, I just meant after their all up, a wishlist would be nice to have. But the 5 per breed is no issue to me, and I didn't want that changed at all, nor the coloring. Just an addition of a wishlist later on.

- One of the things i love about christmas is getting a gift from something that they picked out for me. I find wishlists abit too mechanical, but thats just me :)

Question... How can we guarantee that everyone gets an equal amount of gifts? What if one person gets gifted 10 times and another doesn't get gifted at all, for instance?
ETA: Would it be better to randomly assign each person a recipient and change it up per round? In that case, everyone will get an equal amount of gifts.
Well PM did say that you didn't have to sign up to be gifted- only to gift. I hope everyone gets a few but I don't think its something we can really control.
I do, however, have a feeling that my turn is going to come up in the middle of the night for me lol. But thems the breaks.
Yeah I wouldn't like it we were assigned partners, I think the community is nice enough that everyone will walk away with a gift. I know I have 2 people not participating in this in mind to gift to and a bunch of people that are participating, much more than five XD I will take the amount of gifts those people have gotten into consideration to figure out who I will gift to once my turn comes and I think most people are like that. I defenitely have more than 5 friends in this wonderful place so personally I'm gonna try to gift to friends who don't have many yet, because they are quite new or haven't had funds or time to collect many or whatever.

Same with me YLO. Amount is certainly going to play a factor into who I give to and I know some people are trying to get started in FCFC and I love spreading the love so I'm pretty determined to get them a couple. Also have a few friends who have a lot of FCFC but they have somehow managed to not get any pairs they can breed so that's a big thing with me too.

Its a gifting opportunity, and I have certian people I want to gift to, and I know what they love, so I'm happy with this system. ^^
I do agree that everyone here are nice folks. :) So that would mean that everyone would be included. It was just a suggestion as to prevent unfairness. But of course PM has the last word and I would be ok with however this goes. I would love to spread the FCFC love to those who've been less fortunate. :)
It's why I love Christmas :) In real life a big part of it is spending time with my loved ones, but unfortunately I think chances are slim to none I'll ever be meeting Secundi people in person :P But in my online communities, this one especially, it really warms my heart to see all the gifting that goes on this time a year. Everyone feels lonely and unloved sometimes and it can really make someone's day to receive a tiny present. For me it's about spreading the love, seeing people smile when I give them something and of course letting some of my friends know just how much they mean. Despite knowing everyone here just online, there are a few I've known for years and that have been there for me through very hard things in my real life (that means you PM! <3). I like having a chance to shower them with gifts to let them know they are appreciated. Of course being gifted to makes me happy too, as it does everyone I think, but I honestly wouldn't be upset if I didn't get a single gift. It's much more important to me to be able to gift to others :)

If no one is around it'll take 32 hours to get to my turn lol.
This is why I dropped the wait time down from 6 hours to 2 hours, I did the math
initially it was going to be 12 hours

Rav, I agree with PM, the photo looks like a chocolate tabby, to me. 'Black Tortoiseshell' is just a term used in FCFC. In the real cat world, 'tortoiseshell' is used to refer to a cat with both black and red base coat visible. If the cat ends up looking gray and cream, rather than black and reddish, that's a dilute tortoiseshell.

Yes you can since the person whose turn it is isn't online. If the game is moving along quickly skipped people can't pop back in because that gets really confusing, but if the game isn't moving skipped people can post their choices to make sure we do keep the list moving.

There are so many cuties there, you did such an awesome job coloring.
I think my top 5 from the remaining ones are the apricot bullmastiff, white bullmastiff, dove exotic, black roan miniature pinscher and the little black chihuahua but I see so many more pretties!

To our FCFC followers, I hope to do a large and free event in January. Maybe a small paid thing too after I am much more used to the FCFC lines, but I think I'd like to do free stuff.
