A trip to the beach sounds like a nice idea, wouldn't you say? It's hot, the ocean is cool and blue and inviting, the sand is soft and warm. (Maybe too warm.) And, look! Seashells everywhere! Yes. A perfect beach day, indeed. Why don't you stay for a while and enjoy yourself? You never know what you'll find.

Collecting Shells

You can't set foot on the beach without at least picking up a shell or two! This beach seems to be littered with all sort of shells, if you're willing to meander around the tidepools. Did you know that Miniwyvs love seashells, too?

Take A Walk

Walking on the beach... a classic summertime activity! You stroll along the dunes, poking at the occasional shell with your toe, enjoying the breeze and music of the waves.

But wait; what's that glint of color?

Why, you've stumbled upon a wild Miniwyv nest! Perhaps you'd like to take an egg home, and see what hatches? The parents aren't likely to return; once the eggs are laid,they're pretty much self-sufficient.

Swimmin'

Who can resist that clear, sparkling water? You can just make out a reef, not too far off shore. It might not be too hard to reach. Beyond it, though... is that shadow in the water some sort of ruins?

Do you care to test your swimming skills?

Once per day, you can dive into the waves and see how far you can swim, and what you find. To do so, you'll do the following!

Roll 1d50.  Consult the Chart.

26-40: The Reef
41-50: The Sunken Ship

Click the link, Click the Tab at the bottom for the appropriate location, and select a cell.
Say what cell you're searching in. (For examle, A4 or B12 or D5 or whatever.) Keep track of what's already been searched! (I'll try to keep an updated list.) If you search where someone else already did, you aren't going to find anything! (But I'm going to let you re-guess because I want you guys to find the things :P )

You see a lot of really cool things as you swim around the sunken ruins. The remains of old ships, fantastic, if crumbled, architecture, and lots of interesting fish, too! Unfortunately, though you keep thinking you see glints of more out of the corner of your eyes, you don't quite find anything. Bad luck! :(


Wildfilly - The Shallows - A14
A fish catches your eye, and you follow it, holding your breath to see where it swims to under the water. Unfortunately, it just goes in circles, and you don't find anything fun. Better luck tomorrow!


Laviee - The Shallows - D15
You swim around, keeping your eyes open for anything fun. A glint of red floats towards you, and you snatch it from the water. It's a Do Not Disturb Sign, which will be useful in the upcoming breeding season!

The little colorful fish that dart everywhere are tempting to follow! However, they aren't very useful, which is a shame. This one just flits back and forth through the water; it's fun to watch, but you find nothing. Alas!

The water is cool, refreshing, and perfect. You spend a while just floating, enjoying the peaceful way the waves gently push you. And then you realize how much time has passed. Oops! You got so caught up in floatin' that you forgot to look for anything.

Bubbles rise, catching your eye as you dive into the water. You peer around, hoping to spot something cool in the surf, but there's nothing in sight. Drat!

You manage to swim all the way out to the ruins! Awesome! They are so interesting, with bits of ships and and buildings and who knows what else. You hold your breath and dive down, taking in the sights. You don't find anything to bring home, though. :(


Riverwind - The Reef - C3
You make it to the reef! It's beautiful, and teeming with life-- lots of fish, a few shy eels, and even a turtle! You don't see anything worth bringing home, though.


Kahlira - The Sunken Ruins - A1
You dive down into the ruins after swimming out. You find some interesting runes on one of the pieces of architecture, and, holding your breath for as long as you can, you try to make them out. They are too mysterious to be easily figured out, though! Eventually, you swim back to shore.


Wildfilly - The Shallows - F17
You're getting pretty accustomed to this beach. You swim around, contemplating whether or not you should murder Saturn for recommending you come here. After all, you haven't seen any 'wyvs. Or much of anything, besides normal beach stuff. At least it's peaceful? Maybe you won't murder Saturn today, after all.


Rayne - The Shallows - A11
You enjoy the water, which seems to be just the right temperature to cool you off after being in the hot sun on the beach. You spot a school of fish, and some shells, but that's about it. Drat!


YLO - The Shallows - B15
Another day spent swimmin' on the beach! You have a fine time frolicking in the water, but you don't find anything fun to take home with you. Darn.


Because I know it seems like not a lot is being found-- this is going to be open for a whiiiiiile, so don't get discouraged! ;) There are definitely good things to find... and at least you guys are eliminating the places with nothing! :D
The three of you who have gotten the Ruins so far managed to guess 3 of like... 5 squares that didn't have anything. *headdesk* lol

You dive down into the ruins after a pleasant swim out to the spot. There are a lot of strange bits of rubble strewn along the bottom here, but, thankfully, it's not too terribly deep. With a big gulp of air, you cand dive down and poke around a bit. Tucked into a crevice, you think you see something glint. Reaching in, you find a stash of items that someone must have left! Blue dust, pink dust, and a silver giftbox!

It's the perfect day for swimmin'! Maybe you'll find some sweet pirate booty or an extra-fancy fish! Who knows?! You dive down to look at all of the pretty colors on the reef. So many kind of coral! And seaweed! And... is that some sort of squid thing? SPLOOSH! A jet of ink suddenly surrounds you. Yeah, apparently, you startled a squid. You are disoriented, and you splutter your way to the surface, trying to get the ink out of your eyes and nose and off of your face. You accidentally inhale some, and a strange vision comes to you. Is this stuff hallucinogenic?! But, when you open your eyes... the miniwyv you saw in your squid-induced vision is in front of you! Whoa! Squid be cray.

You swim out once more to the ruins, and begin your process of diving down. You decide to foucs on that sunken ship, really trying to explore as much as you can of it between surfacing for gulps of air.
A chest in one of the broken-apart rooms of the ship catchs your eye, nearly buried in silt and other debris. It's small enough that you can grab it, and you feel things rattling around inside. You haul it back to shore, and find that it's full of Dust Vials!
