I voted Other. My suggestion would be to start out at a lower amount and see what they would go for, rather than start right at 100k. Maybe 25k for flatsales/premades would be a good place to start. :)

Eep! This was meant to be a more FAQ, general use. So I really didn't think to put it in help section :x

I'd say the 100k to 300k range seems fair for the amount of work you've put into them, certainly more for special individuals or customs, though you would risk shutting out newer users and those saving up their SG. If you want them more open to the general public, 5k to 20k is more accessible.

It really depends on how exclusive you want your dragons to be, though you can easily control the secondary trade value by limiting supply as well. You'll also be able to offer customs or semi-customs or specially colored individuals as trade offers, so don't think you're just limited to flatsales and the odd general event. =)

Personally though, I've always thought testing the waters by holding a few auctions never hurt. You'll be able to gauge public interest and get an idea of what people will pay both in SG and in USD if you're interested in USD sales. I could easily see customs or special mutations, animal mimics, and other popular options reaching a million or more. They're gorgeous. =D

I agree with Ryuukokoro. While I'm sure you could get lots of SG for auctions or special customs, I wouldn't charge as much in a Flatsale - especially not right from the start.

They are gorgeous, but i voted other. I wouldn't say that any more than 20-50k is fair for simple flatsales. If there is a special premade, or customs, then the price could go up. That way you can generate intrest and then put the prices up later if you still think they're worth more.

I would agree with Winged dreams, start low for a premade. I think flatsales can defenitely go for 100K later on, but I would start at 50K or so. I personally don't really like it when new adoptables start with very high prices, I think it's better to start low and create a larger owner list and fanbase and then slowly start increasing the price to what you think they are worth.

Aye. I really am rarely interested in selling regular premades for that high. DX I probably should have added more price options to this; of course, this also reflected prices when I was custom shading and adding the fur on myself.

What about full customs? How much seems fair for them?

I also voted Other, because they're still relatively new (meaning not many people know about them).  So yeah, start low and go higher.  Maybe even hold a few premade auctions so you can see about how much people are willing to pay?

Full customs, though, I think 100k is a fair place to start until they become a bit more popular.

I agree, starting low helps. I defenitely think the price could eventually go up. I would say a 100K base price for normal lines with any markings (this is a base price I personally like for new adopties) and then additional fees for special traits? Fees depending on rarity of the trait. (I know I would love one with a beak like I saw on the recently grown babies)

Celine x Meriden

Quirine x Niek

Art x Sayuri

These are the three breedings that I'm interested in :D I'd like twin breedings from all; I seriously need to bolster my Kat numbers XD I'd like them all to also immediately grow up, so that would be... 6 adult watering cans.

Here is the Lowdown of Farallon traits:

Fur: (Short, medium or long) (Or none. This is a mutation trait)
Feather: (very few, some, or a lot) very few it almost unnoticeable as it is mostly downy feather intermingled with the fur to give them a fluffy coat.
Scales: (Some, Average, Extreme) Extreme does not necessarily mean they have a ton of scales, but could rather just have a very extreme scale formation in a certain part of the body. They are also a dominant feature and can sometimes cover up areas of feather mutation.(Or none at all. This is a mutation trait)
Tentacles: Few, Average, or Lots. (Though the amount doesn't change the function, choosing to have none(a mutation trait) May be detrimental to Farallon finding a mate (-1 to offspring potential)
Ears: Can be short or long, or broad. Long ears are uncommon but not rare because of their recessive nature. (Or none. This is a severely detrimental mutation trait. Their hearing is hampered but this type of mutation is linked with other problems and may cause physical deformity of the face.)
Horns: None, regular or More. They can be about any shape that at least appears that it could seem natural. Also, there is a new Mutation for this that makes females not have horns but still be able to carry a gene that allows for horns for male offspring. It is a recessive trait and needs to be fully dominant. A partial trait (++ instead of +- or --) will result in a deformity in the female's horns.

This could get you:

One female Farallon Semi-Custom (Allows for 2 mutation traits or a carrier of 4. Limited to one color on the dragon being metallic) Amount of colors depends on complexity, and mimic markings are subject to interpretation into a natural Farallon pattern.

or

One Male Farallon Semi-Custom (allows for 1 mutation trait or a carrier of 2. Limited to one color on the dragon being metallic)Amount of colors depends on complexity, and mimic markings are subject to interpretation into a natural Farallon pattern.

or

Two female semi-customs with Short Fur and Few to Medium scales. Color and horns remain completely custom(Aside from metallic), but they may only be carriers for one mutation trait. Oh, they may also have the feather mutation of either Ff or FF that I have predrawn. Amount of colors depends on complexity, and mimic markings are subject to interpretation into a natural Farallon pattern.

----

Mimic customs with little to no restrictions, including custom fur (where needed) and any level of mutation you want will require the pot to be sweetened a bit, depending on complexity.

((Phew! That got long and drawn out DX))

Derp XD

Pssh, wrong thread XD *amused*
And I am assuming you mean Moridin? xD
Twins and adults are no problem (heck, I could even do triplets if you want)
Basically my goal is to have a Farallon of all my characters one day so I will be busy for a long time :P At least that will give me plenty of choice to find one where the markings could be a natural Farallon pattern xD If you could take a look at my character thread in Boarding Areas and swing me a PM to discuss that? ^^

Bumping this. I want to hear from more people! And pricing.. don't worry about that. I got that more or less figured out.

Well, seeing as 'questions' is in the title, I believe this is an appropriate time to ask; how do you get tokens? I looked through your info thread and I didn't see anything that explained them.

Is there a list of traits, ect that we can get on the dragons? As in how customisable are they for customs/premades. I've seen ones with small differences but haven't seen any info on that.
I might be missing it, but some clear, simple (probably best not to be too long either) information and rules on these would help, they haven't been around much for a while which probably doesn't help and i don't think i followed them before but i just feel i don't really understand this adoptable and it feels like it's quite complicated with the RP aspect and all.
Title: Re: Farallon Dragons Questions and Suggestions!

Well the RP aspect is completely optional. I added it in there for funsies and my own amusement.

As for traits.. they're actually still 'gathering' traits and I haven't really nailed it all down. I was working on a pretty intensive genetics system when I realized that perhaps I shouldn't be so strict with it and leave some things to be either a little mysterious, or percentage based. What I probably -should- do is start making a list of 'found' traits. I was just hoping to keep some things in the dark for people to discover on their own through breeding.

HOWEVER, for customs of characters I can usually bend and twist things around, even make new markings or just come up with a good excuse for why those markings popped up. Worst case scenario is they are one time markings and won't pass on in the form that they are on that character.

I usually prefer a list of traits because otherwise.I find it really confusing with what is what and what's available.
That does sound good for the customs of characters and that was my next question, are you taking trades for customs at the moment?
Title: Re: Farallon Dragons Questions and Suggestions!

I can certainly do trades! I'm not officially open, however I don't mind taking a few on. I have one to work on before you but otherwise I'm pretty clear.

I'll see about getting that list done for you guys sometime in the near future of what's already out there. <3

Nice! What sort of stuff would you be interested in and roughly what sort of value are you looking for? I'll send you a pm with some offers.
