*Note: Unless otherwise specified, these horses are full customs, so reference pictures and detailed descriptions are welcome. However, if ordering a package with "semi-custom" horses, you can not provide reference pictures or very detailed descriptions (ie: no specifying front right sock, hind right stocking, and a blaze).

Horse Search
I'll post a series of premade Stable horses. You must find real horse photos that looks as physically similar to the posted horses as possible (1 photo per horse). You may enter for just one horse, or for all four. Whoever has the most similar photo to the premade will take that premade home. The winner of each horse will be decided by a panel of judges at my RL house. Correct coloring/markings is most important, but bonus points will go to breed/pose/other. Please link to your photos.

Bath Day
I'll post a muddy-looking horse. You must guess the horse's true color. There is a 24 hour time limit, and then the winner (whoever guessed the horse's color most correctly) will be announced. A correct phenotype is +1, and an incorrect phenotype is -1. The prize is the freshly bathed horse. Random.org will break ties. You may guess for all four, just one, or somewhere in between.

Breeding Game
I'll post two parent horses. You must try to predict the offspring's phenotype, much like normal goal breeding. A right phenotype is +1, and a wrong phenotype is -1. Whoever has the most points for each pair after 24 hours wins the grown-up "foal." Random.org will break ties. You may guess for all six, or for just one, or however many you wish.

Note: The "foal" will not actually be related to the "parents" outside of the game.

I'd also love to get some ideas for the Bonanza events. The more unusual, the better :) Current thoughts...

YES.  This was wicked fun when you did it on the old Kennel forums.

Oh yes, that's another variety of leopard appaloosa, a bit more unusual than the typical leopard spotting I did. Since your leopard girl was a full custom, I wouldn't mind redoing her based on the spotting in that photo. But if you like how she turned out, that's obviously fine too :)

Zaz - that first ref picture looks to me like a red chestnut with flaxen.  And I think that's an extended blanket pattern ("near leopard" is just a term some people use to describe that kind of pattern, where the horse has a spotted blanket that extends to the shoulders) Beautiful color no matter what term you use though!

Ooh they both turned out lovely!  XD  And lol @ Ravv - I named him Trompe l'Oeil for a reason.  (The research I did suggests that single cream on black is difficult to distinguish from just black, and I knew if I threw dun and frame in there the roan would be fairly well hidden visually... XD)

And for survey.. I couldn't be completely honest.  The dark/milk chocolate one depends on my mood.  As does the temperamental thing.  Fav class.. I've never really participated irl or such, or even got to watch much on tv, so just went with what my stable horses specialize in.  I don't set trends, but don;t really follow others either, so I'm somewhere in the middle of that option lol and for height of horse.. I had to guess at that one.  I love arabs, and dunno if they are considered short, tall, medium.. so just made a quick guess there lol

are you using the actual genetic codes of the horses you posted or just the coat color? like is the white girl treated as if she has never been bred or is her actual genetic code the one you're going off of? still not sure if i make sense lol

I am using the horses' real genetic codes :) So doing your homework about past breedings may be beneficial.

If you guess a cream color like buckskin or smoky black and it's another cream color do you still get a point for getting the cream right? Or do I need to rephrase golden buckskin to bay cream etcetera?

Nope, I break the guesses up as best I can. So if someone says "smoky black" but it's actually a normal black, that is +1 black -1 cream. The only one I can't do that for is a guess of "buckskin," since that could be bay or brown -- "golden buckskin" and "sooty buckskin" are broken up.

Whoa, I need to order a blue dun like Huri at some point. I can't believe I neglected that competition.

It's actually "Ituri," but that font mushes the "I" and "t" together XD

A little over 5 hours until the breeding/muddy events end. Next up: a second round of horse matching and some kind of RP event :)

I think after that I'll just give the remaining horses out in a pick-a-stall, as running these specialized events is turning out to be more time consuming than coloring/certing the prizes XD

Yes Ituri, I almost thought you spelled it wrong untol i saw the slight gap

and you coudl always do shorter rounds of the specialized events.  Speed events that match.  One horse at a time

*tilts head* Yeah, you're right. Really uncanny how those two squished letters look like an H.

But on the one hand, slower events means a higher likelihood of you having much more time to color random horses over time and have one amazing end of bonanza event or pre-mades for future events. On the other, blitz events are really fun, especially if there's any mention of sniping involved. XD

Guess we'll see what the next few hours bring and what interest is shown. =)

I defenitely hope for at least one more round of the breeding game. I love all the games, but ever since I got into TheStable I've become a little genetic geek.

And now it's almost 1 AM so bedtime for YLO. I'll be back in the morning :D

4. My favorite spotted thing would be raindrops on a window. Both the way it looks and the sound of the rain are very calming to me. I also feel like it somehow fits this boy. I always name my horses after songs and he would be called November Rain. A very famous song for a very special boy.

My favorite Spotted thing is my daughter.  Ok let me explain.  Every summer when it gets warm she ends up getting a heat rash, it is unavoidable.  She ends up looking all spotted and even then she is smily and generally happy to be around anyone and everyone.  With something like a heat rash that woudl make a grown adult squirm, she stay happy.  So yes my favorite spotted thing is my daughter.

My faves are Drafts and I am doing lotsa genetic testing, so if anyone would want to trade a Draft for my silver dapple Pony Mare feel free to let me know and we can discuss it. Chestnut and Black Drafts would be very helpful for figuring out genetic codes.

Finding free studs/RBs usually isn't hard, but thank you, I will keep that in mind :D I don't really need them just yet. It's just that it would be of more use in my Stable then the pony mare and I know it's a newer breed and has silver dapple, so I thought someone maybe wanted to trade for a plain black or chestnut draftie.

I'm not interested in trading any of my drafts either, but if you want to use mine for breeding, let me know.  I have a cremello roan tobiano mare and blue roan silver frame stallion that I would love some genetic answers for as well ;)
