*It is never advised to handle newborn pups, always use caution when approaching the mother and her pups. My mother hamster happens to be naturaly tamed thus she is allowing me to handle her pups without any qualms. Please be aware handling pups of a agressive or protective mother can result in the mother killing or abandoning her pups.

I had to be sure that was seen because I do know theres some younger users that may think this is okay to do whenever, I'm an adult and I'm able to reason whether or not it was okay to touch the pups.

This was also an unplanned litter, though I do plan to start breeding hamsters in the future this was not the case. This momma does not have a pedigree, nor do I know her genetics so she will never have another litter of pups. Shes simply a pet.

This is a day by day calender up hamster pups (dwarf cambells), it'll start at day one and end at day 21 when they are weaned and ready to go to new homes :D

Day One 2/2

This happens to be a pup that I think will be a pink eyed hamster. There is one other similar to it and either it has pink eyes or its a eyeless white (which means the hamster carries a double white belly gene or WiWi). The reason for this is I cannot see the obvious outline of an eye under the skin.

Day two 2/3

The babies are gaining color, you can see the difference between these two pups. Ill say the darks will look just like mommy and the pinks are going to be a light colored or sadly eyeless whites (really hoping little pink buds are under there and I just cant see them. All nine pups are still alive so I'm going to assume that all nine of them should make it.

Now that the serious part is over with *SQUEE* I came home last night to one pup on the nest, then when I checked back to make sure momma was taking care of him there were LOTS of pups. Im rather excited because Im using this oops litter as a learning tool for future breeding.

This hammie mommy is a good mommy and still retains her pet like qualities, shes just as sweet as a button and is turning out to be great at raising a HUGE litter (seeing as normal dwarf hamster litters are at the largest 8 and she has 9 and to my knowledge this is her first litter)

ZOMG.
*dawwwwww pup!*
Look at it! Look at it! Looooook at it!

*dies*
Oh, can you post the parents? I wanna see mommy and daddy!

Whimsy

We are really unsure on who daddy is, though I think it was the male they were caged with. I dont have any good pictures of him though >< I got them around 2 weeks ago so its very likely that it couldve been a different male because ogrinally it was 3 males and the 2 females. The little boy that had them before me ended up killing two of the males so it left two of the girls and my boy henry. It couldve been either of the boys that were killed or henry and I have no clue what the other boys looked like. When the boy decided he didnt want them  he took them back the store where he bought the cage and that lady was going to put them in with a snake for food so I gave her $20 and took away my three. I seperated henry when I figured out which was a boy.

but heres thelma the mommy. Shes a dark grey cambells dwarf.

BABIES!

Wow, haven't seen baby hamsters in years. (we had a hamster once, got her ffrom petshop pregnant) She even had em in my brothers hand XD Oddest experience he ever had. Happy was a good momma though.

Can't wait to see progress! What they'll be and such =D Can't tell much when they're pinkies like that.

Whimsy

Neo, thelma the mommy is a cambells for sure. The daddy could by my cambells boy or hard telling what other sort of dwarf.

Whimsy

Im really starting to become bothered by their seeminingly dry skin >< I know its just a baby thing, and its normal but I just feel like rubbing some lotion on the little ashy things.

Neocridders

Eeee. I can't wait for them to turn all fuzzy!
>.< Nekkid little babies are cute, yes. But I can only imagine what they will look like. XD Heheheee. Thanks for the update.

Eee, so cute - little pink eraserheads, my dad used to say, back when my sister had her mice.  And the mother is VERY pretty.
