My wacom tablet "drawing" area, is not umm syncing? with my adobe art program's "drawing" area.  My cursor is offset, and I dunno  how to adjust it.

I had this problem once before, back when I first hooked the wacom up, but I can't remember how I fixed it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hum, haven't dealt with that one before.  I'd probably try reinstalling the drivers.

It might also depend on the program you're using. Gimp did something similar to that to me a couple times, but I think I just had to click on the tool box for it to reset itself.

You can also go to Control Panel>Wacom Tablet Properties to adjust settings. When I started using Dual monitors, I had to set my tablet to only work on Monitor 1 XD

I don't know where the discs are at, so not sure if I can reinstall :(

I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS2 Version 9.0.1; and my tablet is a Wacom Intuos 2 (I think, thats what the sticker on the back says anyway lol)

I did go to Wacom Tablet Properties and checked that it was still set to work on Monitor 1 (it is)  But I'm not sure what else to do in there.

My Ali gave me this link http://www.ehow.com/how_5833798_calibrate-wacom-tablet.html

I made it to Step #2.  The "Grip Pen" is already pre-selected.  But I can see no tab or button that says "Calibrate/Calibration" anywhere, not under Pen, Eraser or Mapping tabs.

So I don't know where to go from here :S

You can download ALL drivers from wacoms site (you don't need the CDs!)

Ahh thank you Soli!  I have the latest Driver now, after installing that, it re-set my monitor settings to use both monitors, I changed that back to monitor #1.  The result is..

I have to place pen tip on the work area of tablet a half inch or so to the right of the left edge, to get the cursor on the screen to be on the left edge of the drawing area, this is the same as before installing the driver.  However, before installing the driver, I would draw the pen tip across the tablets work area to the right edge of the work area, hit the edge of the work area, but but the cursor had only gone halfway to the edge of the drawing area on adobe.  THIS has changed.

Now, all edges are "equal".  Meaning, that when the cursor is at any edge (top, left, right, or bottom) of the drawing area on my screen, the pen tip is about half inch "in" from the edge (whichever edge I'm testing) of the tablet's work area.  I'm not sure if that is normal or not?  I have never noticed before if I ever used the full height/width of the tablets work area.

It would be nice to know if this was "normal" lol but regardless of if it is or not, I think I can use it now.

Thank you everyone for the help, it was greatly appreciated.  I was really rather frustrated lol

Glad you've got it to the point of being workable now!  All the Wacom's I've worked with have a square drawn on the writing area that marks where the actual active area is supposed to start, so if it's starting further in than that square it might not be "normal," but if it is starting at that square then you're at normal.

Kadana Sorano

Ahh yea, it's starting about half inch (or a little less) in form the square drawn on the tablet's "flap" cover piece. It does feel weird when I try and work, but I suppose I will get used to it if I can;t find a way to fully fix it lol
