I was recently researching aquarium snails and found some interesting facts I hadn't known before.

Animal fact: While some species of snails have distinct genders (example: Mystery Snails) others are hermaphroditic and can act as both male and female, meaning they can reproduce both via internal self-fertilization and through cross-fertilization (example: Bladder Snails).  Also, while many snails lay eggs, some give life birth (example: Trumpet Snails).  So, yeah, a single bladder snail can explode into a whole colony, and I feel bad for trumpet snail moms birthing all those pointy-shelled babies.  XD
