Taking a light stroll through the streets of town, you pass by several shops that are decorating for Halloween and a few that even have fun games to play. This is a wonderful time of year--everyone is getting together and enjoying the outdoors each in their own unique way. A cool breeze blows through and on the air you smell pumpkin spice and candy apples. So many things to do here lately!

Your leisurely stroll stops abruptly when you come across a rather odd sign. The sign simply shows an arrow pointing down a dark path snaking through a thick forest. What could it be pointing to? Oh, well you've got nothing to lose! Shrugging off the doubt in your mind, you begin to make your way down the trail.

Just as you are beginning to wonder if you made the right choice to follow the path, you catch a glimpse of a shadowy figure in the distance, and you can see the trees beginning to thin out. Well that's not creepy at all...

Your pace quickens when you begin to hear rustling somewhere behind you. You can't quite place the exact direction of the sound--it bounces off of the trees and seems to surround you. A voice in front calls out to you where the shadowy figure stands. "Welcome! I'm glad you made it. Excuse my friends, they just want to say hello." A few feet from the figure now, you can make out features of her face. It's River! You stop in front of her and she smiles back at you. The rustling in the forest appears to have been her companions from the shops that she cares for. They gather around her now as she begins to explain to you what is going on.

"I've set up a scavenger hunt game to celebrate Halloween! It requires more space than some of the games other shops have set up, so that's why I led you all the way out here. There are four paths to follow from here--" she gestures to each path as she speaks. Each trail seems to have another simple sign in front of it to tell you where it leads. "Each area that is available to search can provide different results. There are six unique items. Find at least one of each to finish the hunt. But it doesn't end there! For each once additional item you find, you get one point. You can continue searching even after you have found the minimum number of items. The game does not end until midnight Secundi time on November 1st. On November 1st, I will tally up everyone's points and whoever has the most points will get to pick their new companion from the prize pool! The next person with the highest number of points will get to pick second, and so on."

At this point, a few more people have begun to arrive. River breaks off her explanation to you in order to explain the rules to everyone else. Taking a deep breath, you step towards one of the paths...

The Rules
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

- You may search one area every six Secundi hours. (ex. from 00:00 to 6:00 Secundi time, 6:00 to 12:00 Secundi time, 12:00 to 18:00 Secundi time, or 18:00 to 24:00 Secundi time.) This means you could potentially search a total of 4 times each Secundi day.
- If you miss a six hour window for searching, you cannot make it up by searching twice the next time you search!
- The goal is to finish the scavenger hunt with as many points as possible. You must have found at least one of each of the six unique items in order for your points to count! (Ex. if you have 4 bats but have not found any coffins, your additional bats do not count as points until you have found at least one of each item.)
- Not every item can be found at every area, so it is a good idea to search each area a few times to have the best chances at finding everything.
- You may continue searching until midnight (00:00) Secundi time on November 1st, even if you have found the minimum number of items!
- At the end of the game, you will get to pick from the prize pool in order of whoever has the most points. If there is a tied number, I will randomized the people who tied to make sure it's fair for everyone. I'll post the order that you will pick your prizes at the end of the game.
