Billions of years ago, Earth was covered with all kinds of wildlife, and man had not been introduced yet. The animals thrived, and natural selection worked at its best to bring on the rise and fall of various species. After many years, however, hundreds--no, thousands--of species were wiped out, and the remaining wildlife grew fearful of what had been introduced to Earth: humans. Then, one day, a large black wolf accidentally found a portal to another world.


So it begins...
The wind was blowing frantically, and it kept whipping my hair into my eyes as I walked along the long dirt path back to my house. I didn't know what was going on at first. One minute it was just me, hurrying along as fast as I possibly could, and the next I was stopped dead in my tracks by a huge furry beast.

I'd heard about portals before. Where creatures from other worlds pass over into our own. But I'd never seen it happen right before my eyes.

Before me stood a large black wolf. At least, I think it was a wolf. It's hard to tell exactly what something is that passes through a portal. Not only can the portals give an animal extra abilities, but they also lead to many, many different worlds. Her golden eyes seemed to peer into my soul, and I felt a tingling in my head.

Excuse me, but could you tell me where I am?

I was shocked. A wolf had just spoken to my mind! Okay, this was a little strange. But this world is filled with strange. I remembered what I'd been taught, to show foreign creatures that they were welcome here, in our world. I smiled and replied, "Welcome to the world of Secundi. My name is River. I am pleased to make your acquaintance." The wolf lowered her head, as if bowing, or showing respect.

Thank you. If I might ask, do you have living quarters for me and my companions?

Companions? I don't see any companions, I thought. Then I tore my eyes away from the animal's gaze, and realized that there were more. Many more. Perhaps too many. Where on earth are we going to keep all of them?! The thought quickly vanished. I knew what I had to do. It was time to call some of my friends, who live in the heart of Secundi.

Many of us have not been around too much due to RL things happening and taking us over. I understand that pretty much all of us have had a tough go of it in the past year, maybe even more. Amazingly, when I am truly feeling down and hopeless, I open up the Secundi Discord and there you all are! We are a family and I am eternally grateful to all of you for being there to support me (an each other) when times get tough.

I've recently started a new job, but I hope to be able to set aside some time each week to be more a part of the Secundi community again. This includes following my original plans to hold some sort of event each month for THS. So let the last of the April showers pass over us and bring what we need to turn over a new leaf and start a seed that will grow into something beautiful. Welcome to the May event thread!


P.S yes I know it's a whole week early but I figured the longer it can stay open for everyone to have a chance to participate, the better.

Single Player Yahtzee!

Yes, you read that right! I first used this game in my 2017 May event thread, and I am pretty sure it was a big hit. I did admittedly lose the instruction set that I had for it and it's been so long since I first thought of it so forgive me if anything is different from what you remember.

Instructions:
--> This is a dice roll game that has a chance of earning you several different prizes including premades, semi customs, song customs, full customs, or a free out of season breeding!
--> Each day, you can roll a 5d6 once. If you win anything with your roll, you can use the forms below to claim your prize in this thread.
--> A 3 of a kind will earn you a premade THS! A 3 of a kind means that three out of the five numbers on the dice are the same number.
--> A 4 of a kind will earn you a semi custom THS! A 4 of a kind means that four out of the five numbers on the dice are the same number.
--> A small straight will earn you a song custom THS! A small straight means that you rolled four numbers that can be placed in ascending order without any numbers being skipped. For example if you rolled 1, 2, 3, and 4 that is a small straight, even if they didn't technically roll in that order. If you rolled a 4, 5, 2, and 3, that could also be a small straight because 2, 3, 4, and 5 are ascending.
--> A large straight will earn you a full custom THS! A large straight means that you rolled five numbers that can be placed in ascending order without any numbers being skipped. For example if you rolled 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 that is a large straight, even if they didn't technically roll in that order. If you rolled a 4, 1, 5, 2, and 3, that could also be a large straight because 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are ascending.
--> A Yahtzee will earn you an out of season breeding! A Yahtzee means that all five numbers on the dice are the same. Please note that if you roll a Yahtzee and you don't have enough THS to breed, you may borrow other people's THS if they give you permission to do so. If you'd rather not do that then you can swap the OoS breeding for a full custom.
--> Each roll counts separately, so if you get three Yahtzees, you earn three OoS breedings. This also means that you cannot combine the three rolls to make up a win. And unlike regular Yahtzee, you won't be "saving" dice to reroll and try again.
--> You may continue to post your three rolls every day until the end of Secundi day on May 31st.

This portion of the thread will take a little more time than the simple dice game, but I wanted to make sure there was something for everyone. There is no right or wrong way to enter this game, and everyone who enters will be sure to get something for their efforts!

Instructions:
