You don't quite know how you got here. Or where you are. In fact, it's hard to even recall what you were doing a moment ago -- just, suddenly, the fog.

You're standing in front of a field. Through the thick mist, you can make out round shapes on the ground, in a variety of sizes, and flashes of orange. A pumpkin patch, you think.

A theatrical cough behind you makes you turn, and to your startlement, a bunch of shady, cloaked figures are watching you from underneath the awnings of various tattered festival tents.

"Well, will you play?" one asks, the closest. It's hard to get a good look at him - more or less humanoid but shaded by the fabric of his hood. The flash of sharp teeth is unmistakable, though.

He stands behind a long table draped in cloth, shuffling cards from hand to hand. As you cautiously approach, you make them out to be tarot cards, and his sharp-toothed grin widens. "Shall we delve into the inner workings of your mind?" he asks, pausing his shuffling and offering the cards out to you. Not particularly keen to get personal with this questionable individual, you politely decline, and he shrugs, his grin widening even more. "I suppose not everyone wants to know. Well, in that case, maybe try one of the other games." A dramatic sweep of his arm gestures to the other tents and booths. "You could even win a prize, if you're particularly lucky."

Well, there's not much else to do, is there? Might as well see what this is all about...

There's a knife-throwing game that you pass on, given the rather... well-used... condition of the knives, and a ring toss that you try but which seems utterly impossible to win. Another shady individual offers to read your palm, but you decline. Finally, you come to a big wheel numbered 1-20.

"Spin it ten times, win a few treats," the man behind this table says. He looks slightly less creepy than the one that greeted you, aside from the fact that one of his eyes is entirely white and seems to stare at nothing.

You look at the numbers on the wheel, which correspond to the 'treats' that you would win - which are not exactly your idea of 'treats'. "Not to your liking?" he laughs. "You can always trade in your winnings for a pumpkin." He gestures to another booth, at the front of which stands a pedestal featuring a rather gray-looking pumpkin. "What you need to win it will change now and then, though, just so you're aware."

Well, might as well spin the wheel, and maybe you can take home that pumpkin...
