I think you should make the decision on male or female later as well. In all honesty, I look at it and see "stallion" written all over it, but that could just be because my personal view of male horses generally involves large quantities of hair XD

I really love the pose!  If you're wanted any additional ideas of possible things to add:  ankle fins and/or splashing water around the feet might be cool.

Very nice!  I was thinking he looked rather masculine, actually, even with the long hair XD

I think waiting until both lines are more complete is a good idea though, just in case.  I will definitely be stalking for some of these though!

The sketch looks lovely! The forelegs seem a tad bit short to me for some reason, despite taking in angle and position if I were to stare too long, but I love the overall movement!
