The idea of Circles among the FaeKind will be highly useful for future RPs and other aspects of their world, especially free breeding. Organize, join, participate.

Unification Circles
If a fae is particularly close to a specific Unification, they may have membership in one of the exclusive Circles. Many circles are generations old, some breaking off from other circles because of differences, but most so old they no longer remember how they began.

These Circles are a group of faes that have their own special rituals and practices that they see as giving honor to a particular Unification, or their idea of that Unification. The members of these Circles attempt to emulate their chosen Unification and many of the rites and practices of the Circle reflect this. These Circles can be joined only after a long initiation process however, and most fae start as foals in order to complete the initiation.

Each Circle has very different rules and practices, and a Unification can have more then one Circle. They usually however have only one or two Circles and if there is more then one Circle, they are usually almost directly opposite. This is in honor of the aspects of Ien and Una, and to honor the connection and division of the two deities.

Ien and Una
Ien and Una also have their own Circles, but they are so large and broad, that membership is practically determined by a Fae's element and inclusion is automatic. For example, a shadow element Fae is assumed to be of the circle of Una, while an air element Fae would be of the Ien circle. Because of their sheer size, all Fae celebrate the important days of Ien and Una's circles.

Joining a Circle
Circles are usually linked to a family, but because of the fluidity of herd membership, and the variation of patron Unifications within a family, this is not always the case. When a foal is born they are usually given an initial rite of passage into their family's chosen Circle, but it isn't until they are fully grown that they can choose to become a full member. If that fae then joins another herd they will usually keep the Circle membership of their family.

If a Fae joins a Circle it is likely that their Purity will go up, as they are showing more devotion to Ien and Una through one of their children.

Other Circles
Circles can also be created for worship of things other than Unifications, such as circles dedicated to Mother Earth or Father Sun, or any number of the Desert Fae dieties (go ahead, try and count them). There are even Circles dedicated to certain important days, ideas, or even animals!

Making a Circle
Anyone is welcome to try and gather a Circle if you have a particularly good idea =3 Just start a thread in this forum with FaeKind and Circle somewhere in the title. Your Circle can have a leader or a council, some way to designate themselves, different celebration days, whatever you want.

Important Note: Faes do not start circles. The point of a circle is that there is no end or beginning, right? Circles have existed for generations, though some of the younger ones have spiraled off from older ones. Any Fae attempting to start a brand new one is going to be looked at like that man in the street shouting he's the second coming, it's just not something any Fae in their right mind would do.

Once you have started your thread, people are then encouraged to give you feedback on your circle, or pledge a certain Fae of theirs to it. If you have enough of a following, you are encouraged to design a header banner and get ready to organize your official thread.

Your Circle will be looked at by the FaeTeam, approved, and linked in this thread so you can easily find it and other Circles. You can then moderate that thread to add and remove members and whatever else you wish to do. If you wish to have a full in character thread involving your Circle, please post one in the Critter RP forum and it too will be linked for you.

If you are leaving the FaeKind or no longer wish to run your circle, your Fae must step down as leader and by some manner choose a new leader so your circle continues.

Circles will become more and more important as they are a guaranteed way to rouse the magic of the FaeKind, which then raises stats and makes breeding easier. It's also a great way to get additions to your Fae.

Calendar
Generally, holidays specific to elements are held within the month where that element is most powerful. You are welcome to come up with holidays and festivals for the FaeKind to celebrate, or just for your Circle to honor.
